I've been back and forth on this. Everyone loves the realism they offer today but it takes away some of the gun when its far too realistic. Games like burnout are always fun to me because your encourage to wreck, simply because it's just funner. Nowadays it's frowned upon and you incur penalties if you do. I want a burnout on a next-gen console or PC, now that would be a treat.
I agree, I am the same way. I don't know exactly what it is about realistic racing games or just realistic games in general but they all tend to bore me aside from maybe a few exceptions here and there. Arcade type games like burnout just seem a lot more fun to me.
