Is CJ The Greatest Character In The History of The GTA Series?

Do you think his character was that good?

 

Not really. my favourite was Tony, but even them that's only a personal choice, why was CJ any better than tony or vercetti?

 

I thought he was one of the worst.

Maybe Rockstar were trying to show they were promoting diversity or something but all that 'gangsta' nonsense bored me from the outset.

I didn't sympathise with the character at all.

 

I love CJ! He always has interesting things to say, he's strong, and he's really funny!

 

In my opinion no I liked Tommy Vercetti and Clade more.

 

I thought CJ was the greatest character because he was the most relatable. I could relate to living in the ghetto and having family problems. I can't really relate to mobsters and that kind of life.

 

For me it was CJ, yes, but I'm suspect because I'm a San Andreas lover. I do still play it everyday, especially in the online version(SA-MP, I dislike MTA). The whole game is pure "epicness" which makes CJ the best for me.

 

No way. The best San Andreas character is the best I can say about him but he doesn't hold a candle to the likes of Tommy Vercetti and Ken Rosenberg.

 

His character probably wasn't the best for the series, but he was def the funniest of them all(at least to me). And I enjoyed SA the most of all the GTA games so that probably biases my opinion a bit.

 

He was way too defensive and making dumb and obvious statements in the cutscenes. I cannot say he was the worst but I liked Vercetti the most.

 

Definitely one of the funniest characters the game series has produced. I loved walking round as him in a tank top jacked up from the gym.
Gave a really cool feel to the game and character just felt bad ass. His script was hilarious at times.

 

He WAS my second favourite after Niko. However, I went back and replayed some of San Andreas after playing GTA 5 and disliked all the characters for some reason, the voice acting just seemed really, really bad - not something that I picked up on at all when I played the game when I was younger. Also the script left a lot to be desired. GTA has certainly improved since then.

Niko is my favourite character, spot number 2 is up for debate!

 

San Andreas is my favorite GTA, but Tommy Vercetti > CJ easily

 

CJ wasn't even that great. My favorite now is Trevor.

 

I think CJ is the best grand theft auto character ever, that is just my opinion though.

 

I don't really enjoy gangster stories such as the one CJ had but I do like when a character is smart ans sophisticated and always has tricks up his sleeve. The kind of character who can quote Shakespeare when he's about to execute someone.

 

Main character? Not really, Niko was pretty cool. The best GTA character of all is Ryder, hands down.

Tommy Vercetti. Shit! Haha. Tommy was a boss by every stretch of the imagination. I had so much fun playing with his character in the Vice City games. I still love CJ a lot and like someone mentioned earlier, he was relatable.

 

San Andreas is my favorite GTA game but I thought CJ wasn't a very good character. He seemed like just a stereotypical gangster character. I liked Tommy the best but that could be because Ray Liotta did a great job on the voice acting.

 

I liked SA but CJ seemed too much of a punk kid compared to the other characters.
