A financial report from Digital Bros confirms that Assetto Corsa 2 will be coming to consoles. The long-awaited sequel to Assetto Corsa will launch on PC next spring. According to Digital Bros' latest financial statement, Assetto Corsa 2 is scheduled to be released on PC in Spring 2024 during the "next fiscal year" that ends in July 2024. The company also confirmed that a console version of Assetto Corsa 2 is in the works. There's no confirmation yet, but Assetto Corsa 2 should launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PS4 and Xbox One release is unlikely since developers are moving away from last-gen systems. PlayStation and Xbox players may have a long wait for Assetto Corsa 2's console release. Assetto Corsa was released on PC in December 2014 and came to PS4 and Xbox One a few years later in August 2016. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports of Assetto Corsa Competizione arrived in June 2020, 13 months after their PC counterparts. Assetto Corsa Competizione was ported to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with enhanced visuals and performance, but at the rate past ports are going, Assetto Corsa 2 may not arrive on consoles until 2025 at the earliest. However, since nearly 40% of Assetto Corsa’s sales were generated on consoles, it’s not surprising that a console port is planned for the sequel.
