The cool thing is to use like clothes you like, or the car you drive IRL or would like to drive. Just makes it more friendly, and also more updated, as the graphics of San Andreas are quite old now, compared to other games. If you have a decent computer you can mod it so deep that it looks like a modern game, with all the texture and ENB settings available.

I remember I just downloaded something and it asked me to paste that file into some folder that's responsible for the clothing of the character. Is modding the other parts of the game as simple as that? And what is ENB?

ENB series change lighting and all that graphics part of the game like reflex and such.

Some mods you need programs to install them, like IMG tools or GGMM.

Oh my god, that is stunning. I will be downloading ENB today :D, why have I never heard of this before? Graphics are the only thing San Andreas seemed to be really lacking in comparison to GTA V, but not any more. Why doesn't Rockstar add native modding support, imagine the potential if the community works on projects like these.

I have not tried that many mods to be honest, but if you would like to try one, I would suggest you go and try GTA Punjab. It's fun as hell.

Well, they need a native support indeed. ENB mods are heavy and not every computer can handle it well, but it's a truth that ENB is open source so you can edit the settings to your liking.

I don't hardware problems would last long. With the rate that technology is advancing at, and how everything is being made faster and powerful for cheaper, its only a matter of short time ;). Soon my friends, soon :p.

Well, the game is getting old too and soon the new generations won't know of it any more.

Yeah and it looks really cool too, I just visited the link Brian posted. But I doubt my 2.20 Ghz processor and 1 GB RAM can handle it, I'm sure it will need a pc with better specs.

There are a lot of mods for GTA: San Andreas. As far as I remember, there are even some script mods which just require you to have something known as CLEO and you could just paste a file inside the CLEO folder. I installed a script mod which makes the train longer by adding more coaches. I loved riding trains in GTA: San Andreas and felt that the trains were a bit too small, so I installed that mod. Check it out! Also, the car mods for the game are amazing.

Hey guys.... I'd say if you're looking for a good mod that includes zombies you should try GTA SAMP.... It's a multiplayer mod that has quite a few servers to choose from.... it's similar to Multitheft Auto except with original maps.... The only downside is it requires you to have the original GTA SA disc for PC... the updated version on Steam won't work.

That sounds so damn trashy that it must be loads of fun. Radio stations play bollywood music there? :D

There are definetelly a lot of mods out there for GTA San Andreas, because I played a lot of them myself. I wouldn't say that all of them are good, but that is for you to decide. I can't list any names of the mods here, because I've forgotten all of them since I don't play San Andreas mods anymore. You should just search for them a little and you will quickly find a mod that you find good.

I remember installing the Batmobile, which was awesome. Also, there are good numerous Cleo mods that didn't work for me because it was incompatible with Windows 7.
My favorite mod for San Andreas is the ENB series, which is the graphical mod and make everything look realistic, like motion blur, HDR, bloom, bump-mapping, etc.

I am not too sure if my computer can handle that. It sounds like it might work on my computer but there might be a lot of lag.

Depends. Many settings are optional. Many are not very taxing at all - one way to find out!

I started playing it around when it came out and even then there were a lot of incredibly awesome mods for SA even back then but since then, as projects got finished and the modding community progressed there is now an insane amount of mods for SA, probably more so than for any of the other games in the series because its game engine is not so demanding and also very flexible.

I have not looked into any GTA San Andreas mods lately. I mean my computer is only a pentium 4 3.4ghz with a Radeon X1300 256mb so it is not up to par with games of today. I would not be able to play some mods that are like high res so that is not an option for me.
