The 'Need for Speed' movie was top notch. The action was superb and the acting was OK. I didn't like the use of Michael Keaton in the movie, it kinda seemed irritating. But the rest of it was entertaining. The story was pretty predictable and not that great. Watch the movie for the great action sequences. I hear there was no CGI, all stunts were real.

My favorite RE was actually the third one, I think. I know how bad it was objectively but it was the type of bad that was enjoyable for me. I agree that they are just phoning it in more and more with each sequel though, as the new ones hardly have any memorable scenes anymore.

Yeah that's the only reason I watched Tomb Raider. Hot.

They don't even resemble the games at all anymore... That's my biggest beef with them..

Haha. That part I agree with you completely. They have kind of turned it into a generic zombie movie, but I admittedly am not that much of a fan of RE or even zombie movies in general so I guess that's why I am not very critical.

Super Mario Bros. was really cool.
I'd totally watch a reboot, IF they had some respect for the material and made a good movie.
Good luck getting a better cast than Bob Hoskins, Dennis Hopper, and John John Leguizamo though...

There was a Double Dragon movie... I haven't seen that since I was like 12.
Can't remember, but I'm pretty sure it was EPIC.

Street Fighter was much better than Mortal Kombat.

I never liked SMB movie all that much but I found it enjoyable the one time I watched it, especially the boots for some reason. Double Dragon, however, I did like very much even though I was always aware of how crappy and cheesy it was even when I was younger.

Dude, I had totally forgotten about the Double Dragon movie!
I just remembered, somehow, while writing the post.
I has been like, maybe 18 years since the last time I saw that movie.

I'm about to open the trailer on youtube.
And I don't even recognize the movie when I see it...
The movie is from 1994 So 18 years since the last time I saw it is about right.

Best part of Mario Bros. movie:

The Mortal Kombat movies were my favorite when it did come out. But most movie adaptations have not been that great. The first 2 RE movies were ok, but movies like Tomb raider, Prince of Persia, Max Payne, Hitman and a few others were not as great. Need for speed was good for the action. I hope they make a Warcraft movie. There is also talk of a Mass Effect movie that could be made like a star wars series, but surely not as great.

The first Mortal Kombat movie was ok.
    The dialogues are ridiculous though...
The movies that followed are horrible, in my opinion.

    Even Street Fighter was better.

It's one of my favorite bad movies. Even when I was younger I knew it was bad but I couldn't help but like it even though I couldn't really figure out why. I guess it's mostly because it at least wasn't boring.

My favorite video game based movies will always be the first Mortal Kombat and the first Silent Hill. These movies were actually pretty decent movie adaptations. The movie for the Dead or Alive fighting game was an absolute abomination, though.
