So I just got Dirt Rally for PC and it is INSANELY hard to handle these cars. I can understand real driving physics but oh my god this is nuts. I can't stay on the road for more than 5 seconds. I am using a controller, no wheel, but I see all these videos on Youtube of people that are just flying through the tracks effortlessly. Any tips?
I'd say lots of practice might be the answer as to how you'll get better . . . One thing that makes dirt racing a little more challenging than asphalt track racing is the fact that you may have to use your brake and accelerator for steering. This is why you need to learn how to slide through corners so by using both your brake and your steering wheel, you'll be able to stay on the track when turning and still maintain relatively high speeds.
