I recently watched lights out, it is very scaring especially if someone is watching it for the first time.
I think there are some of the good movies out there. And those movies seems to be good in terms of the stories. I can tell you that stories such as the horror and the thriller are coming out a lot. Scifi especially has many movies last year.
Thailand horror movies are good. They really scary. Try to search on google. I've seen a lot of creepy thai movies. It scars like hell.
Recently watched Veronica. The movie was good. And also it was kind of fun to see how the movie can be repeat watchable.
The best horror movies that I will recommend is the insidious 1. That movie did not let me sleep the night I watched it. It will really haunt your mind after you watch it--like it will live you a thinking that it could happen to you just like what happen to the characters in the movie. After that, I never watch any of its sequel and I am not scared of any horror movies aside from it. And I would advice you not to watch it alone and if you are an imaginative person and who usually overthinks, don't watch it.
Horror films depend upon ones taste actually. When The Exorcist was shown in the Philippines during the early 70s, the audience laughed when Linda's head made a 360 degree turn. In other words Filipinos have a different horror taste compared to the west. But show a Filipino an old woman in a half body flying in the middle of the night that will surely make them scream in fright. But the west finds this funny and weird and not even entertaining.
The original "The Ring," not the remake. The 1998 Japanese horror film which was based on Ring, a novel by Koji Suzuki about a reporter who investigates a cursed videotape that kills anyone after a week.
I agree with you n this one . The old horror flicks really give me the thrills. Besides thy have the theology behind them and we can still distinguish between what's bad and what's good. The new horror genres are too sophisticated and it seems like the bad ones win in the end without any explanation and you're lke left hanging in the air, saying " huh, that's it?
Damn! I feel like I have been living under a rock. To be honest, I don't think I have ever heard of these horror movies.
Netflix has plenty of good recommendations. I'd suggest checking out when you wish to watch any specific movie.
Try the incident movie. It is spanish. And it has both scifi and horror. And it is definitely worth watching.
I remember there was one game named "home sweet home" that may soon be turned into the movie. It's thailand horror game. and soon it will have a movie of it's type.
