I'm not a fan of AMD chipsets, but you'll definitely be having some smooth fun with GTA V on both setups. I run a Core i7 desktop with a high-end graphics card. It's good enough for most games, except the absolute most resource intensive ones.

I'm waiting on some money to order a brand new PC with a 970 Strix, and play it at 1440p. Can't wait!

That's a great looking CPU for GTA--6 cores! You have a good set up to play GTA V imo. For mine, I'm not 100% sure if I'll be purchasing the game for my PC, but I'll be building a new PC this Winter. My budget is around ~$500-~$600 so I'll probably get the same CPU as yours along with 8GB RAM and maybe a GPU in the GTX 700s series.

I already have the game for PS3 but I'm totally buying the game again for PC. With all the new things they added it will totally be worth it. I have phenom 2 x4, 8 GB ram, 250 GB HDD (buying 1 TB soon), and Sapphire HD 7650. I can run the game fine but I hope all of this will cover it.

I've got a GTX 770, Intel i5 4670k, 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. It should be enough for GTA V, I'm pretty sure I can run it on High settings at 1080p and 60fps.

This is the basics of my PC setup:

    Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60GHz
    Manufacturer Intel
    Speed 3.6 GHz
    Number of Cores 8
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
    Manufacturer NVIDIA
    Chipset GeForce GTX 760
    Dedicated Memory 2.0 GB
    Total Memory 3.9 GB
    Memory 16 GB

I have windows on an SSD drive.

Hopefully this will suffice for GTA V but maybe I'll need to do something about my GPU, I don't know.
