GT6 is muсh еаsiеr in tеrms оf diffiсulty. оnе еxаmplе, thе ultimаtе еndurаnсе rасе in GT5 is а 24 hоur rасе, whеrе in GT6, it's 24 minutеs... Pеrsоnаlly, I think it's kindа sаd...
I'm not sure that I'd go as far as saying it's sad, but I do think that the changes they made from GT5 to GT6 have had a detrimental effect on the game and it's not been improved like you'd want and expect a new game to have been. It seems that while GT5 was made for fans of racing simulators, GT6 was aimed more at general gamers, those who didn't care about authenticity and just wanted a racing game rather than a simulator that the GT series always was.
In my view, GT6 has a better physics system compared to GT5. GT6 has many cars which are all premium, GT5 has fewer cars which are all standard. GT6 has more tracks to night drive/drive in rain on too. And it's constantly getting free updates. In all the time the game has been out, there has probably been around 50 cars added in, 3-5 tracks (some with multiple layouts), several types of special events, new customization options, etc. And so far, all of it has been free. Customization and events in both games are a little bit different.
The one thing I can remember really enjoying in GT5 was the car trading and Ferrari F1. On GT6 there are a couple of staff I really loved apart from a few issues with the physics. Car handling was much better in GT6 and also the additional tracks were amazing. Also the customization options were a good touch.
I assume that the race tracks and diffulty levels are the only changes with each release of the game.
The only variety that I saw in racing games was when NFS made the police chase you in NFS Most Wanted.
On the track Grand Turismo 6 seems more dramatic than the 5, also the weight balancing and dynamics of the cars are more accurate than before. The improved visual effects and shaders are nice, and also the more realistic lighting delivers a more atmospheric experience.
