I have an old 360 with only component and composite output and I also bought the VGA cable for it since I have been using it on a computer monitor for years. But I decided to move it to my TV and comparing the two (with the same game mode and picture settings on my TV) I can't shake the thought the VGA seems a bit cleaner. But I wonder if it just looks clearer because I'm expecting it to look clearer, the same way a meal can taste better if you have higher expectations going in. I can't compare side by side and it takes a couple of minutes to switch out the cables and boot into a game, so I'm not quite convinced the difference is real and not just in my head. Is there any reason VGA should be better than component for an XBox 360 on a 1080p TV? Or vice-versa?
