What wheel and pedal setup is known to be the best one available for purchase? iRacing recommends logitech and thrustmaster. You can get them for a couple of hundred dollars. The high end thrustmaster costs around $500. How much better is that one compared to one of the logitech ones you can get for under $200?

Logitech's $200 are decent, but you can feel the difference between $200 and $600+, it's noticeable.

I heard the cheaper ones are good enough and serve the purpose but the more expensive ones surely will bring a good amount of difference. I don't know how much that difference would be worth though but I'm sure it's worth the cost considering so many people are investing in it.

The best gaming steering wheel at the present has to be Logitech G27. But that doesn't mean the cheaper wheels aren't that good. There have been some complaints that some wheels won't respond when connected to consoles or is it just some games which aren't compatible?

Yes, you are right. It's really noticeable. You can expect a $600 enjoyment from a set that costs $200. There is no benefit if you buy the cheaper one.

I don't think it's a technical problem. I just think that the games are not compatible.

If you want to buy one, you should choose the costly one and I think that the price is worth it if you buy a set of a good company.

The rule that applies here is, the more expensive, the better. It has always been the case, especially with technology. You get what you pay for when it comes to price, as the higher end of the price range gives you a more realistic feel of the steering, the driving, and a better simulated gaming experience in general. But like I said, it is expensive, and it is also space consuming when you will place it in your apartment.

I agree. I think as much as possible it's much better to just get the more expensive ones since it's not something you'll end up replacing regularly anyway and chances are the higher end ones will last a very long time so it's well worth the cost.

It doesn't necessarily mean that the cheaper wheels aren't that good. When one seeks the thrill of realism how expensive the wheel is shouldn't matter. Just find the best one that costs the least. There are a number of good racing wheels made by Thrustmaster which are relatively cheap.

You are right. Most of the cheaper pedal sets are not worth the price. I always opt for the expensive version of a particular product in the technological world. I have bought many pedal sets but I always noticed that the expensive ones gave me a realistic car racing feeling.
