Damn, I definitely don't agree with them removing it from steam. I know they had their own crappy launcher they're trying to convince people to us but it was easier fo rme just having it on steam overall.. hmm.

Uplay honestly sucks. I wish that Ubisoft would just leave servers to the platform giants the games they make are on. I do like the extra little bonuses you can unlock and friend activity, just not how the servers are mandatory.

I've never tried Uplay but I think they are doing themselves harm by not releasing it on Steam. There's just too many PC gamers on there already that they could have taken advantage but maybe they have a master plan that we're just not seeing yet.

Damn, that is a bummer for sure...I don't think they're doing themselves any favors by removing it from Steam. I think a lot of people will be unhappy with the news.

Edit: Looks like they introduced it back to Steam. Still the whole fiasco can't have been good for Ubisoft PR.

I think it never was removed from the store for me. I think that was just for the United States and I think somewhere else. They removed ALL the upcoming Ubisoft games from the stores of these places, ridiculous. I figure they would lose a lot of customers by removing it from the US store, since a huge number of Steam users are from United States. If they've re-added the games, that's good, because Ubisoft games tend to die, when it comes to on-line gaming, and the more players the game has, the more it will last. But this was a problem ever since AC: Brotherhood. I hope Unity and The Crew aren't going to face these problems. They really should drop the whole matchmaking idea, and create servers for multi-player.

Yep, a big down for me too. This is what money can do, they make people greedy over the limit. Ubisoft should review their marketing sale, I think that they would made much more profit over it if they sold it at a lower price and a lot of copies that only few at a high one.

This is so disappointing. I was actually looking forward to this game for a long time. I wanted to buy it and I was saving money. Now I am not so sure. What GenevB said is true - they could make so much more profit it they gave discount prices. But, oh well.

Ubisoft has removed many of its games from steam and making them only available on uplay. They have have taken the EA route and began to compete with steam on the PC gaming market. I sont think this will go well for them since the recent games have been so bad and performed so poorly both in sales and game play.

I'm tired of these things. Origin and Uplay and anything else. Companies are just being greedy with these exclusives. I'm starting to feel the same way about these as I am about micro-transactions.

Ive hated Micro thefts since they were announced and DLC ever since they started locing it in the game and cutting it out of the game itself. What really grinds my gears is when I see DLC videos and announcements for games before they even come out. How can you have DLC for the game if it hasnt even gone gold yet (Certified to be a complete and working licensed game). But now since steam has begun racking in Billions on PC game sales of course every other major player wants a piece of the pie.

Got to love the fact that Ubisoft thought they could pull this shit off without anyone noticing. I also love how they just added their games back hours after the scandal fired up.

I honestly don't see how on Earth they would think that's a good idea. I mean, hell, EA did it with Origin and that almost killed them, but at least EA still makes good games and actually has a good, solid client (sure, it could use MANY improvements, but it's better than, say, Steam at launch), while Ubisoft's games are just piles of shit usually (look at how Unity turned out), and their client is horrible.

Not a big deal. There are plenty of gamers that can't stand Steam, just like they can't stand Origin or uPlay.

Well I dont know about it not being on steam any more because I just got onto steam reading this and it is still listed there.
There is a point why Ubisoft would remove it but it wouldnt be the smartest thing to do because steam has the biggest audience of PC gamers. People will buy it on uPlay but not as many as if it was on steam.
But it is on steam now so it is kind of easier to use at least for me.

It was removed few weeks ago but it returned I don't know when. They said it was accidentally removed I think? And it's not just the crew also a few games were removed from steam.

Really? Wow. I haven't checked it out yet, but now I certainly must. It's back on Steam? This is amazing news! You've just made my day. I can't believe it. I'll get to play it after all (lately I only play games which I can buy on Steam). I can't wait.

I am definitely going to pick it up on steam now that its back on there, smart move. the Uplay client isn't as bad as origin but I would still prefer to have the game on steam.
