Has anyone played any decent, worth downloading Racing games in the past few months that are available on PC for free, I've played trackmania, which is great, but it's a tad arcade like, struggling to find a good free racing game, thanks for any responses.
I have also played Track Mania Nations. It was fun to play with friends at that time. Other than that you can try HEAT Online , Volvo The Game or Stunt Rally.
World of speed is my favorite free online racing game. It has great content and great cars. The driving system is quite good, too. Try it sometime. I really recommend it.
I have several favorites but the one I like NFS most wanted. I am not sure if it falls under free PC games. I think it is one great game that you should play. I am really addicted to it.
I would recommend playing Need for Speed Underground. It is atleast for me the best racing game ever made. I was playing it for about two years almost every single day with my friends and completed it several times. I upgraded to the maximum almost every single car and after playing it for that long i got to say that it was worth it because it is free and you probably can't get bored playing it.
I would recommend TrackMania Forever on Steam. It's 100% free, has an active playerbase, and just look at those reviews - "Overwhelmingly Positive" http://store.steampowered.com/app/11020/
Yep it's either World of Speed or Trackmania I guess. I never really got into either games but from my view Trackmania was definitely more fun to play. That was mainly because I had friends playing it already though so I'd say pick the game where you know people to get you started.
Anyone know if old PS games are available to download online for free? That'd be sweet. I would love to dig out the old racing games and play them sometime.
You should try simraceway its free and has a good online community. Great selection of cars and good graphics. I'm surprised how this game is even free with all the content and quality of it.
I've been on the hunt for some myself, and pretty disappointed with the few I have tried- interesting to read everyone's suggestions though as you guys mentioned a few I haven't looked into at all. I'll have to give them a try .
True, however to unlock the entire game you have to pay for it, so I wouldn't exactly term it as a "free" game. It's still a great game though.
I don't know of any free racing games for PC, I always go with the mainstream one and these are usually not free. I've seen the trailer of simraceaway and it doesn't seem too bad, you should definetely check it out.
That's why I said "Trial". There is no limit to the trial as far as i remember, so technically it still is a free but limited game. *shrugs*
World of Speed, enough said. It's probably the best and one of the most recent PC racing games that is free. It's worth a try, trust me.

I cannot remember the name of the game, but it was on Facebook and you could choose from a small variety of electronic cars to race with your friends. Does anyone know that game? Is it still on facebook?
I have been trying to find a really good racing game that I could play. I think that I will try to play some of these.
Even if it's not free, you COULD always try Steam. They always have sales going on in your stores. So, you may luck out and find something at a decent price. My recommendation is to try for it around December, they usually have games going for like 75% off and such.
