So I finally completed the story mode yesterday so decided to start online play. I didn't really find it that great after playing for 2 hours. I tried doing missions/jobs and every time i went into a lobby I would never be joined, even with auto invite turned on. I ended up spending most of my time in a car chase with three other guys but not really doing much apart from that. Am I missing something?
I am most likely trolling people, lol. I have to say that Im already level 232 and Ive got nearly everything.. So, got a rhino tank to scare the shit out of people lol. The first hours in Online were boring for me too, but youll find funny stuff with time etc.
I must admit that the online mode massively pales in comparison to the single player to me. I don't know, after playing it for hours it just began to feel boring to me, and this certainly wasn't the case with the excellent single player. I still think that the series has potential in terms of multiplayer, but Rockstar hasn't quite got there yet. As the multiplayer is always evolving, I may go back to it one day and get a real surprise!
It's kind of hilarious that you're disappointed because hours of gameplay has finally bored you. That said I don't care enough about multiplayer to have much of an opinion. Even so it's not a bad attempt all things considered.
I am having the same issues with the online. We were promised heists and more cooperative gameplay, but at the moment it just seems like chaos and the other players tend to try and kill you instead of working with you.
A lot of people don't find it great. I'm with you I didn't find it all that exciting so I just play the campaign most of the time.
I get it, GTA Online is not for everyone. If you are a lone wolfer, you are not going to enjoy it as much as others like me do.
I personally love Grand Theft Auto V online. I can not not get enough of it to be perfectly honest. It seems like there are endless activities to do with your friends. I find it hard to believe that anyone would not like GTA V online.
I've been having a pretty good time with it. For the first day or so I had trouble actually getting into jobs, would keep auto-failing if I were lucky to get as far as starting one. Managed to preoccupy myself with and have plenty of fun just robbing liquor stores and gas stations. I managed to play for several hours today completely devoid of technical issues, right up until a moment ago when I seemed to get stuck loading a job. But those several hours were great. I'm pretty hooked.
Yeah, rank 104 here. I got fed up with all the dicks in GTA online so I decided to level up and finally get a rhino tank. It's been an absolute blast killing dicks far and wide in an explosive manner.
When you're at a low rank, I admit, it's pretty boring. However, once you level up, you will find a lot more things to do that are actually fun.
i did not enjoy it online as much as prior games either. although it was fun it was not my ideal choice
OP, Do you have a lot of friends who play online? The people that are having a great time in online mode are the ones who are playing online with a bunch of their friends. If you're trying to recruit a bunch of strangers to play with you, that might explain why you're not having a good time. It's normal for strange players that you meet online to try and kill you or troll you. Some of the crews for GTA V were formed when Max Payne 3 came out because there was a code or something in the game that allowed people who bought Max Payne 3 to start forming their GTA V crews early before the release of GTA V. That was an incentive to get people to buy Max Payne 3. You can go to the GTA V Crews fan forum and check the thread where people are recruiting for their crews. Maybe you can find a crew to join for GTA V Online so that your experience will be better.
I got kind of bored playing on multiplayer. I think if i had friends who played GTA it would probably be a lot more fun. It seems like you kind of have to have friends who play it to really get the most out of it.
Online play for any game isn't the same for everybody. The simple fact is that if you are playing with friends then it is automatically fun. Trying to find other people to play with can be a pain and take the fun away from it. I found GTA online to always be fun to play.
i played with alot of friends online and it always seemed to be some kind of repetitious gameplay. it wasnt the worst by any means it just wasnt my ideal cup of tea.
It isn't all that fun to me either. Great with friends for a weekend or two, but honestly there isn't much to do. Do they still not have heists yet?
No they haven't introduced heists yet. I don't think they are ever going to introduce it now. I think they are saving it for GTA VI.
Yeah I think online gameplay on some other games that focus on online multiplayer are definitely much better but I can't complain about this one's since I still see it as being fairly well made and still entertaining. Maybe you just had a bad first experience, maybe try playing with it some more.
I never really enjoyed playing the game online. I think that I have too much fun just going around and killing people within the game and then we sort of have a mini war where we are both just trying to get back at each other and I really think that it is really funny because you can just feel how angry the other person is when you keep sneaking up on them in the game and killing them.
