There comes a time when too much of something becomes annoying. At times I grow tired of playing certain racing games. Sometimes it feels like it becomes very repetitive at times. Do you grow tired of racing games sometimes?
I have been growing tire of playing the same type of racing games again and again for a while now. it's nice to see games like The Crew offer something new on the table.
I think video games has changed in general. It's no longer a straight objective game. It's now turning into a overall cinematic experience. So the straight racing game will not do as well as they other games that are pushing the boundries of video games experiences.
I'm not tired of racing. I don't play racing games as much as I used to before but I still like playing them.
I don't just play racing games, I play other genres like FPS and MOBA as well in between, so I don't feel bored at all. Personally I would probably get bored after more than 2 hours straight of playing a racing game.
I get tired of any type of game when I play them too much, which is easily remedied by going to other games until I get that itch again! I do wish that racing games had more to do though. Of course, then it wouldn't be considered a racing game, but still... you can only circle a track or race against someone so many times...
I've grown tired of the more traditional and bland racing games, but luckily there have been tons of other games that add a lot of innovations that just seem to fit right in with my taste. The problem is that as new consoles introduce more power and thus could handle much more, games seem to be doing more and more only for realism rather than added mechanics, which at the core is just another generic racing game.
I mix it up a little between racing and adventure games. I never like to play the same game for long periods of time. I either end up frustrated or bored.
I know what you mean, I go through cycles with it I've noticed. Sometimes I tire of it really easily and would just rather do almost anything else, other times I can play a lot more before I get sick of it. I've noticed this with video games in general actual, across all genres, but racing probably is the worst in that sense just because of its repetitive nature.
I just think that most racing games are just tuck on a boring concept. Needless to say I don't know anyone personally that still plays Nascar. Games like Burnout and NFS is what got me further into racing.
Absolutely. Except I don't. On the PC we have so many great games like TrackMania. And on the PS3 there's the reboot of Twisted Metal, those kind of games are so different they offer basically a new experience.
It depends on the racing game. Like if you've got friends to play a game with, I can do it all the time. back when I used to play live for speed, I used to be apart of a drift team and we would spend like 6+ hours on the same track just doing drift runs and racing other groups, was a lot of fun. Racing can get boring however if its just by yourself.
I get tired of some racing games that don't offer anything new through the whole game, but are just plain racing. Yes, they're fun at the begining, but they make me feel bored after a while. That is the time when I stop playing the game and start playing something else; After a while I get back to the game and it stops being boring for a while and then the cycle continues.
Well, at the heart of the matter, racing games will always be repetitive. They key is to not play all the time. No matter what bells and whistles a developer puts on a racing game, it doesn't change what it is. This is a fact for anything, not just racing. I don't get bored of them because I know how to vary my gaming to other genres
I am kind of getting sick of racing games. But what I do when I get sick of racing games I play games like minecraft or some other games I don't play often. So when I get tired of those I switch back to racing. It's like a cycle I have.
I suppose that's the way to play games. I kinda do the same, so I don't get bored of particular games.
