It's easier for me to maneuver without crashing if I can see the car, so I prefer third-person view. I won't be as likely to bump into other cars and drift without hitting anything if I can see my vehicle.
Although, I really love the cockpit view, I find myself crashing often when I drive in this mode. So I have to choose third person view even though I don;t like it all that much.
I like the Third person view, because it gives you a little better view of your surrounding. I find the first person view uncomfortable and feel that the view of the driving space is not enough for me to drive the car perfectly well on the road.
I would love to be able to just use first person view as well because it's more realistic but seeing the whole car really seems like the most practical way to go about it unfortunately. I've seen some people do great at first person though but only very few.
I tend to play with the standart 3rd person view. If I use the first person I can't see the road that good.
I prefer driving with a realistic interior 1st person view. Just playing a racing game with an interior makes the game so much more immersive, and it just feels more like you are actually driving the vehicle rather than playing a video game. 3rd person is my second option if the game doesn't have a realistic interior for it's cars.
I think that everyone would prefer the interior 1st person view, but most games make it difficult to use it. You can't really see the road that well, and it doesn't feel like what you see, when you're actually driving.. There are some games that have been able to make the 1st person view feel ok. Can't really remember one though... Also, 1st person feels better when you're playing a arcade machine...
When I'm racing, I always prefer the standard view. It just gives you much more advantage compared to the other views (the more close up ones). You can see your surroundings, assess your speed for the next turn and simply steer and drive better in general. The 1st person view, though, is really cool to have, even just for when you are driving around the city. For races, the 1st person view is quite handicapping and you won't be able to perform as good compared to the normal view.
I prefer using third person view because i like to see the surroundings aswell as my car. I think i can control my car better if i use third person view than first person view. First person view is much harded but also much more interesting to play. So if you want to win and score best time lap then choose third person view and if you want to have fun use first person view.
Third person is better, so I can see what's around me. I can see where my car is, in relation to where the others' cars are, and I can see where there are upcoming turns and tight corners. Dashboard view may feel more like driving in real life, but you can't look through the side windows likes in real life, so your view is obstructed.
First person is the best. It gives a nice feeling while you're playing the game, and also allows the game to feel more realistic.
I never could handle the first person view. Nothing like it is when you are actually driving. Just feels completely weird and so I prefer third person.
I prefer to see the car. I always get dizzy from dashboard view and I always find it harder to see other people.
First person view is pretty fun for an immersive experience, but for competitive racing where you need to see your surroundings readily, the third person view gives a much larger field of view and is much more advantageous.
Generally I use 3rd person view for most game, a lot of the time the action that takes place around the car pretty much forces you to use 3rd person or else you're at a bad advantage. Though the 1st person view definitely adds a lot of realism, it really feels like you're inside the car and I usually use that view when I race on tracks.
The standard third-person view is optimal because it balances perfectly between how far you can see ahead and how well you can maneuver what's right in front of you.
Cockpit view all the way. I always race in that view I can really see what is ahead of me and the steering wheel inside the car really lets me see how much I am turning. Third person is difficult to race in I only use that view for things like cruising. Third person doesn't let you see directly in front of you and since I can't see how much the wheel turns, I often find myself under steering or oversteering. Cockpit is just right for me, plus I love car interiors.
I like to know that I have the options. There are times when I can't see at all so I have to go into another view if I am driving in a tunnel or if there is snow and things are pretty dangerous. It is awesome to be able to see what the heck I am doing.
For me it really depends on the specific game. I think some games look better or are easier to play using the standard view whereas other games either look better or are easier to play using an alternative view. Usually if I find a game too difficult to play I'll try the various different views to find out which one is the easiest to use.
