The crazy thing about Mario Kart is that it is funny and seems pretty easy. That is until you get taken out near the end of the race. Though, there is my personal favorite of turning too late and running off track. How many times have you guys lost?
I swear I have a paper on my back that says, "Screw this guy in particular." I can't even begin to count how many races I've stayed in first for the majority of the race and get screwed over on the last stretch. It's infuriating, but I still keep playing for some reason.
I can't say that I've been keeping count, with over 100 hours under my belt... I would say at least thirty games where I barely lost at the last second, due to some blue shell or golden mushroom being picked up by some lucky driver... that is really infuriating whenever it happens to you, particularly if you have been holding the lead for a long while.
I can't really say how many times I've lost, it's a pretty big number lol. I've won many more times than I've lost, but I've played this game a lot. A lot of times I'm ahead of everyone throughout the race, but in the last second someone comes and takes the first place. I hate when this happens, but I guess that happened to anyone alteast once.
I'm pretty sure about ten thousand times. It is an addicting and super fun game, but I kinda suck at it and I lost so many times its pretty crazy.
I've lost countless times, but I've finished within 4th place or better for as long as I can remember. Rarely will I not come in 1st place and then wind up out of the top four. I've been playing these games for years, though.
I've lost countless time as well! Most of the time in races, I take the lead fairly quickly (1/2 way through the first lap), keep it for a long while and then, on the final lap, I get hit by a Blue Shell! It seemed almost unfair because I would dominate the race for so long, and then some lucky guy would just use one of those infuriating blue shells and take away first place from me. After some time of this, I used to get nervous on the last lap, and it would choke; I would drive of the track or make some other stupid munis take.
I've lost a bunch of times. Mario Kart is a classic game and I've played it a lot. I play against some of my friends, and they are pretty good, so I win around 1/4th of the time out of maybe 6 friends.
Too many times to count really. I've never really cared about losing in this game as long as I had a blast playing it. Being able to lose at any time due to the powerups is a part of the charm of this game and definitely makes losing less frustrating because you know you can win the next race in the same fashion.
Too many times. When I play against other players I don't have a chance. I swear for some people it's like their profession or something. If it's just me against the computer than I have a better chance, but of course if Mario is my rival he always freaking wins. Ugh!
Indeed, there are so many factors which could lead you to lose aside from player skill. The best thing to do is laugh about it, accept it and move on
Oh, I lose all the time, that's what keeps me coming back, whenever I can easily clear a difficulty level I immediately go up a notch and try to beat the level above it. When it comes to multiplayer, you might as well ask me how many times I've won, because that's a much lower number
I have lost so many times that I can't keep track. I do pretty well in single player, but I can hardly compete when playing against other real people. Sometimes I get upset, but then again, it is just a game!
I think I am a bad player for Mario Kart because I can hardly complete a level. It looks so easy when my sister plays it, which makes me feel so embarrassed. It seems like she was blessed to be a better Mario Kart player while I was blessed to be the loser. I've lost so many times that I can't keep track. I hope I am not the worst Mario Kart player .
I think I'm probably in the "too many times to count" camp as well, though I can't say I've really been keeping track. I feel like Mario Kart is one of those games where I can be in first for the majority of the time and get screwed at the last possible moment...but it's still fun and addicting enough that I keep playing anyway .
I can't say that I've kept count, and if I had, I can't say I'd want to admit how badly some of my races go but I know exactly what you're referring to and it's one of the main reasons I often opt to play offline (that, and the added benefit of getting to unlock a bunch of things lol). There are two specific races that always get me and I always end up losing - I can't remember both their names at the moment, but one of them has the finish line near water (you're coming out of the water as you're about to turn towards the finish line) and the other one is the Mario Circuit - it has a turn right before getting a box where, if you're not paying attention, you'll go flying right into a wall LOL. My biggest pet-peeve though, is probably when you're about to win and someone with a mushroom decides that it's their time to shine and passes you, grrrr lol
I would say for every win that I got, I actually lost 10 times. Also I do like to go back and replay all the tracks just to find all the power ups and short cuts to the point where I have mastered every turn and slide. Then I can whip the behinds of all of my friends when we play head to head.
More than I care to count, honestly. It really sucks when you think you got it and you're in the first place, only to fall out of the circuit due to a small mistake. It's not like Win/Loss ratio is something important; it's only a game. Take your time and relax.
It's definitely what makes it a lot more interesting than other racing games wherein when you've reached a certain point you can pretty much just cruise to the finish line and remain first place. I've had many times that I lost just as I was about to cross the finish line in this game but the funny thing is I never get too frustrated because it's almost always funny when it happens.
OH man, remaining first till the end. I don't know how many times that happened to me. Anyways, I kind of don't like losing but then the next round comes on and I'm like I'm ready to win this time.
