The good racer. He would be able to dodge some of the items with his bad items and also be able to make up for the time that he loses when the item hits him.
I think it would be nearly evenly matched, but in the end the player who knows how to use items would probably win. It is a racing game, but at the end of the day if you're familiar with the game you're going to be able to beat other less experienced players. It's all about strategy.
I think a good racer would still have more of an edge overall since the bad racer would still most likely have to catch up to use the items. If the good racer was far enough then the bad racer would have no chance to use their items.
This is a bit of a tricky question but I think in any situation that the person who is good racer would win any day because I think that once you have those skills that you would be able to win at any racing game that you play.
Mario Kart 8 is really frustrating. I find it hard to win, but my sister finds it really easy. I guess it is because she is a regular player. For me, I am always crashing, then I find it so hard to catch up with the other racers. I guess if you are a good player you can never lose.
I would have to say the good racer who doesn't really know how to use items. This is mainly because good players can overcome a disadvantage from something such as not being able to use items. However, the other racer also has a good chance of winning due to a fluke or something, as the items are Mario Kart 8 are overpowered just like in the other Mario Kart games.
I think the bad racer will win. If you can fight your way to the top with weapons, I say you earned it. Not only are you able to be on the offensive, but once you get to the top, you can forever be in the defense. That is, of course, the game doesn't spam you with blue shells and other crap to take you down.
In Mario Kart 8, it's all just luck based, though if you know how to use the items and are a bit lucky, you'll win. You might be the best racer, and still end up as last, just because of bad luck.
I'm a bit confused. How is the game lucked based? Are you referring to getting some decent weapons, if so, yes. The acquiring of different weapons is rather lucked based. I don't know what formula that use to say you get a blue shell or not, since that's the harder of the weapons for me to get in the game. I mostly end up with green and red shells, mushrooms and the occasional variety pack.
Depends on the course also. I would give the edge to the bad racer who uses the items well because some of those items really play well into getting you ahead regardless of racing ability. And in a game like Mario Kart there really is not a substantial enough difference between a good and bad racer unless you are literally veering off the course and into walls.
That, you can't get that much of a lead anymore, and depending on the luck of your items you'll get a better spot. It's turning more into a board game where everyone could win, instead of a skill game. Of course, it still takes some skill to win, but compared to the other games, way less. If you're a better racer, you'll have a greater chance of winning, but still you could lose sometimes just because of the way the game works.
It's turning into a board game?! When did they add that formula?! (No, I'm not yelling at you, I'm geniunely shocked about this.) I didn't even know that they had a system that determines who wins based on weapons! Then again, since it's suppose to be a family game, I guess that makes since, but still... The only other way to beat that formula is to play with no weapons at all.
I hope you're sarcastic, right? I just compared it with a board game, where it's just the luck which decides who wins, not the gamer itself that much anymore. They probably did that to make everyone able to win, so nobody would be mad after playing the game (like my nephew who always raged after I owned him in Mario Kart Wii) There's no secret board formula, though that would be hilarous!
