I have seen people discussing how they think that the driving ink GTA 4 is better then the driving in GTa5. To me I think that the driving in GtA5 is a lot better. What do you think which game would you say has the better driving in it?
I really want them to improve bikes on GTA. I love bikes, and they have so much more potential in GTA, but I usually stick with cars because bikes are such a pain to drive. I believe it marginally improved in GTA4, but not so much in 5.
I would consider the driving in V far superior to the driving mechanics in IV. Everything is more smooth and slightly less realistic, which makes it easier to drive under the conditions present in the game. It's easier to weave through traffic and cut corners compared to the last game, which I think is a good thing.
At first I didn't think there was a huge differences between IV and V. But the other day I went back to play GTA IV and I was shocked. The driving in GTA IV felt like driving with all of your tires popped. Somehow the car was too sensitive and not sensitive enough all at once. I think the driving feel in GTA V is probably the best in an open world game. It makes for really enjoyable races.
I kind of honed the driving in GTA4, despite people finding it impossible to drive in that game. Still, GTA5's driving is vastly better. I have an easier time with it.
I also think the driving in GTA5 is a lot smoother. It seems to be a lot more responsive to your commands. Overall, it provides a better driving experience.
I find this version's driving mechanism to be a bit better than GTA4, although still very similar. I much prefer the driving in their older games, to be honest, but I honestly like this one much better than the predecessor in terms of driving physics, albeit just subtly.
Definitely, I remember every game from GTA III to GTA IV had such awful driving mechanics that it was an accomplishment to get anywhere without wrecking one or two cars. Rockstar knew this about their games, because in GTA SA every character in the game would tell CJ how much of a bad driver he was. This is no longer the case in GTA V, driving is amazing in this game, to the point where racing is one of my favorite things to do on it now.
It's definitely been an upgrade over the past games. I just to avoid driving in the earlier games but now I can safely say that I enjoy driving in GTA. Racing's very fun in the game and definitely adds more value to the game. I also don't crash my car as much anymore, which used to be infuriating because I'd always crash my new cars !
I think that the driving in both games is very similar, but I think that the driving in GTA V is a little better. It's no wonder, because it's a newer game and they had to make some improvements regarding driving cars - that's a big thing in GTA. I think that the driving in GTA V is more smooth than it was in GTA IV.
I didn't notice a big difference. Seems like they pretty much did the same thing in GTA V as they did in the previous game. It's understandable as it's not really a big enough feature to sink a lot of time or production quality into. There is a lot more to the game than racing so they obviously wanted spend time improving other areas.
So I'm not the only one who doesn't see much of a difference? I don't think driving is their main bit of the game so I can understand why its not a priority to improve it.
I agree, the driving feels pretty normal, nothing amazing about the physics. Sadly this also means that there isn't much difference in feeling when steering a tank vs. a car.
Yeah, I noticed that as well. I guess the developed just didn't care that much about being realistic or different on that aspect of the game. It's a bit disappointing but it doesn't ruin the experience for me personally. Still a lot of fun.
From what I've heard driving in the previous GTAs was better but the current GTA is much more fun and has better graphics so because of that, people are still interested in playing it.
The driving in GTA V is a vast improvement over GTA IV's driving style. Going from San Andreas to GTA IV's driving style was a huge jump and it was pretty bad. I felt GTA IV had pretty clunky controls and it felt like you were riding around in boats. GTA V on the other hand is a lot better, it's not perfect but there's a massive improvement in responsiveness while driving.
While I wouldn't say that driving is anywhere as buttery as Forza, it definitely is a huge improvement from GTA IV which was suffering from a lot of issues. I love it.
