Well you can't compare it with racing games like NFS or Gran Turismo, the driving mechanis are quite different. I would say it is more suited for a game like GTA. GTA V has good controls, and most probably you will drive it as easily as any other game.
Oh, I'm not sure if I mentioned it before, but the driving and handling in GTA5 is really good, so that adds to the experience. Overall, I like the racing. The boat races are fun too.
It's very much improved, I remember back in IV I could barely get somewhere without having at least one car blow up on me. Some people mastered that and were great drivers on that game though, but I just couldn't do it no matter how much I tried. Driving in GTA V is a blast though, I still crash, but it's only because I go way too fast.
I was one of the people who mastered the GTA4 driving and was actually able to drive properly. Still, I agree with everyone when they say that GTA5 has better driving. It's easier and has better handling.
Sometimes I hear a lot of people saying that driving in GTA5 is harder then the driving in GTA 4 to me I think that it is actually a lot more improved then it was in GTA4 and I think that the racing is a lot better and I like it a whole lot more than in GTA 4.
It is definitely better than GTA 4. It's not that bad really. I enjoy it, the controls could use more work but other than that they made a pretty good job! I think in GTA VI the racing will be so much better.
I don't get that at all. I mean, I didn't have as had of a time driving in GTA4 as everyone else did. I adjusted pretty well. Still, GTA5 has, without a doubt, way better driving and racing in it than GTA4.
Yeah, it's pretty good. Just don't crash or land in a certain way and you'll be fine. If you do crash or land in a bad way, your car could explode on impact. That's my only issue. I suppose that's somewhat realistic because in real life if you were to crash or land in a dangerous way, your car would be out of commission and you'd die. I guess that was the best way they could express that.
I like the racing in GTA V as far as the cars and everything goes, I just wish it payed a little more when you won the race.
I totally agree. In a similar thread, I also posted that I think GTA5 is smoother and more responsive than GTA4. I still hold true to this statement and GTA5 really has improved a bunch compared to GTA4.
I think it depends on the settings an who you race with. There's a no contact setting but most people don't bother to use. The problem isn't so much the race but the other racers. A lot of people figure the easiest way to win a race is to just ram you off the road or spin you out. I'm sure you all understand how annoying that is.
GTA5's racing is really good. A big improvement from GTA4's racing. It even added some new boat/jetski races, which no GTA had done prior. Those are pretty fun as well.
I don't think anyone else has mentioned it. There's also a type of race with weapons and boosters. It's not going to win any awards for simulator of the year or anything. It's just pure fun and incorporates the spirit of racing and GTA.
Nothing beats a good ol' GTA Race with some mayhem due to the weapons. The racing in GTA V is pretty great, and I'd have to say it's a step up from GTA IV in a number of ways.
Considering that GTA it's not a racing game the race mode it's pretty good. But when you try to compare it with other games which are "racing" games, it's nowhere near. However it's nice to know they struggle to offer us the best.
I agree 100%! They have massively improve the car mechanics with the latest iteration of GTA. It seems amazing with just how many other things they improved, they also managed to improve this. GTA is a pretty good driving sim, but when you consider everything, it is just a fantastic game.
I agree with you on this one, GTA V has improved it's driving a lot compared to the previous releases. It's really smooth and it's actually a lot of fun playing it, racing against other people. There is still room for improvement, but I'm satisfied the way that it is now. I would r8 8/8, m8.
Control wise I would agree, they've definitely improved massively over GTA IV's driving mechanics. GTA IV cars were basically boats, ridiculous turning which was massively delayed anytime you tried to turn. Huge improvement in GTA V, much better controls, obviously not as good as dedicated racing games but certainly good enough for the GTA series. I just hope they've improved the hand to hand combat somewhat for the next gen launch as it's definitely lacking.
