I think most of the car racing simulators might end up being a little repetitive simply because of the concept, that is racing around a track several times, even though they are fun after a little while you get kind of tired, games like NFS offer very fast paced gameplay that will offer a different experience each time.

I rather have the game perfected than a bunch of crappy features that have no purpose in a racing game.. AKA Forza..

Well the Gran Turismo series are still pretty good. In my opinion they should just stick to what they have and maybe improve the features that they already have.
All racing games are repetitive, it's the idea of the game really. You get more experience by completing more races.
They should really focus on the player experience.

Yeah I must agree with FuZyOn on this one. All racing games are repetitive to some extent, what appealed to me in the first place are the game's good physics and the fact that it has a lot of cars and tracks...that's what I want from a racing game. I really don't think that you can avoid repetitiveness in racing games as even arcade games tend to be repetitive after a while.

Definitely repetitive, but the graphics are very realistic and lively. Its only so much they can do to change things up, but I admit GT is becoming less exciting for me.

Yeah, but I don't think it's a problem with GT. Instead, it's a problem with the genre--there isn't really much you can add to a racing game unless you want to make it _____ game + racing.

Yes, it gets repetitive. When you first play it seems like a lot. After a while you just end up doing the same things over an over again. It's a great simulator. Just not a great game. It doesn't provide much entertainment after a while.

Sure it's repetitive, but isn't that true of most racing games? Besides adding a story mode or a few other things, I can't really think of what they could do to make it less repetitive.

Yep, to stave off some of the boredom try playing online multiplayer? The desire to get better and beat other players will drive you to spend more time practicing without finding it a bore.

yeah I'd say the game has become too repetitive too. Especially because they seem to recycle so many of their old tracks that it feels like I've played the whole game before I even have it. There's definitely some variety needed and I hope the next game will bring it.

It s becoming more and more repetitive. I think they should include more things in the game. If they are out of ideas, maybe they should listen to the community, I'm sure it would bring new life to the game.

Perhaps adding something like the Steam Workshop would prove to be good for a game like this? I've been thinking about this for a while and I think having the option for really detailed user-created content could definitely give GT a boost, especially because it would all be free and easily accessible to the gamers. It's also optional so people who don't want it won't have to get it.

I agree, it's gotten a little stale and repetitive but I understand since it's a traditional racer. If it added too many mechanics then they risk losing their identity. It's probably mostly being made for newer gamers since they can get introduced to the series this way whereas older followers might have been expected to move on to other racers.

Yeah... It does get receptive and a little bit grindy. But when you consider that it is a pure, little bit old-school racing simulator, it is understandable. It is also kind of unique, because few other racing games get repetitive like this. Though I have to say, the repetitiveness goes out the window when you get a new car, I just get so excited to try it out!

They are staying true to what made the franchise so successful. However staying on course also means redundency and repetitiveness. You can add more features and better graphics, but it's still the same game no matter what.

I agree with you. While I'm a more of an arcade racing type of guy, a friend of mine likes simulators more. Sure, I play the occasional simulator every now and then, but I'd rather live the adrenaline that good old Need for Speed gives me rather than concern myself with different things.

This is how I have been feeling lately with the Grand Turismo games. I am beginning to feel like they are spending more time on the graphics then actually make the game fun to play and to me the game is beginning to become more repetitive the more that I play the games that are in the series. I really hope that they would be able to make the game fun again because I could still remember the day that I had the chance got play Grand Turismo for the first time it was on the first PlayStation and I could remember the fun song that used to pay whenever you entered the garage. Honestly those were the days of the good Grand Turismo.

I agree with you on this one, it is getting more and more repetitive, I hope that they'll solve this in the next release. They could make this game more appealing by doing something different and not what they always do. What that is, is up to them.

Yes, Gran Turismo is definitely becoming to repetitive. Perhaps, the game creators should introduce new elements such as a "Story Mode".

It's possibly "too repetitive", but there are ways you can go and have fun without repeating the same thing over and over again. If you're talking about grinding for credits, then I see what you mean. :)
