I have read and I have been hearing lots of people saying that the driving in GTA 5 sucks and I really cannot understand why because to me I think that the driving in GTA 5 was really good.

How do you guys rate the driving in GTA 5 and what would you say made it good and what would you say made it suck?

I am honestly trying to figure out why so many people think so?

I think it's alright. I mean, you can't expect the driving physics of a game to be exactly like how it is in real life. Obviously, it's a game. But I think there are some games out there that have really good driving physics.

If the system is like in San Andreas where your handling improves the more you play the game, then I don't mind the physics at all. I've seen that the crash physics are improved but not by much. I'll have to wait for release day to get the game and see for myself.

It's okay but I thought the handling and traction had a few kinks they could've worked out.

Idon;t really know why someone would say that for a game. Granted, the driving is not as good as Forza, but it's not a racing game.

I don't see why people are complaining. The driving in GTA5 is great. It's pretty smooth and the handling in good. It's pretty solid driving. I guess you just can't make everyone happy.

I like it, it's a good in between GTAIV and San Andreas style driving...

Yeah, I can see that. I never made the comparison, but you're right. It is in-between GTA4 and San Andreas. It's pretty balanced and has good handling. It's not as ragdoll-ish as GTA4.

GTA4's is not so much ragdolly as the whole game is defined by it's euphoria physics from the moving around to the driving and it really doesn't make for a fun game sometimes..

I guess I see what you mean. Still, god forbid you drive in GTA4 drunk... Don't try it. You (the player) will end up dizzy.

Yeah, it can get annoying at times. That's why if Niko's drunk, I'll either have him wobble home or take a taxi. Oh, and if you thought driving a car drunk in the game was hard or irritating, you shouldn't try having him on a bike drunk. That's even more hellish.

I've actually been hearing the opposite. A lot of people love the driving in GTA5. I guess there really are two sides to every coin. Many love it many hate it. I'm one of the people who liked the driving.

Don't, just don't do it. I just did it because I was curious. Never again. You get an even harder to control ride home, some drunken genocide (those poor pedestrians never saw it coming), and more than likely, a dead Niko.

I like it enough, and I definitely like it much better than GTA4, but to be completely honest, I prefer the driving a bit more in the GTA games that weren't as realistic yet. Mostly LCS and VC appealed to me much more, but again, I don't have much complaints on this current one.

Liberty City Stories actually had pretty good driving. You're right. I forgot about that. It's been a while since I played Liberty City Stories. I didn't suck at driving as much as I normally do in that game.

I kind of miss that mechanic in San Andreas. There were a lot of cool things like getting better handling the more you drive, the same for bikes, getting better with gun accuracy, ad that kind of stuff. I even liked when CJ's physique could be tampered with depending on how much you ate or worked out.

My only true irritation with the driving in GTA5 is if you crash or land a certain way, it's very easy to explode your vehicle. Still, that can lead to some amusing moments. In any case, I liked the driving in GTA5.

Same here! It's why I loved it lol. I can't really pinpoint the specific difference but I guess in a subtle way it's just a bit less realistic than the current versions, which I consider to be a good thing.
