Some people don't even bother to hear what a movie is about, what reviewers said about the movie and so on. I for one, like Jet Li. I associate him with some fancy martial arts moves and almost always he's never disappointed me. Would any of you watch a movie simply because you favorite actor was in it?
Guilty as charged! I've done this before. Only watched it because my favorite actress was in it. Which is, Reese Witherspoon. I've been a fan of hers for awhile now, and have always enjoyed every film she's been in. There's something about her that I just adore! For a male actor, it's Mark Wahlberg. So you could only image how much I loved the movie "Fear" which has the both of them in it! Haha! So yes, I've done this a few times when it came to the both of these actors, just watched the movie because they were in it. Was never disappointed in the films either!
I don't really have a favourite actor, I just watch movies based on themselves. If it's a good movie with a good actor, I'll go for the movie BECAUSE of the movie is good. If it's a bad movie with a good actor, I won't watch it. What's the point?
I don't really think I have a favourite actor, but I did say today I'd watch pretty much anything Tom Hardy was in.
Robert Deniro is my favorite actor of all time. He could very well be the best actor of all time, simply because most of his movies are top notch. You can't argue with The Deer Hunter, Taxi Driver, The Godfather 2, Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Casino and oh so many more. The guy's brilliant.
Young Al Pacino kicked ass. Dog Day Afternoon is a prime example. I still watch it from time to time. As for newcomers, there's something about Tom Hardy that I like. Not for the Batman role but for Bronson, Lawless and Warrior.
Lawless was incredible. Took me a while to get around to watching it, and I'm disappointed that I waited so long. And Hardy was fantastic in Bronson, really showed he's got range.
It has to be Steve Martin The guy is a comedy genius, and he writes all the scripts for the films he's in which makes it even better. He's been in so many funny films and TV shows, and stars in one of my favorite films ever; Naked Gun.
Christian Bale. I've seen everything he's done, from Empire of the Sun to that weird Chinese movie he did.
Bale is amazing.... but I would have to go with Ryan Gosling. If anyone has seen the movie the believer they will know why.
If I had to pick one, it would be Marlon Brando. I recently saw On The Waterfront, and he was great in it.
It was recently Leonardo DiCaprio. I saw him in Inception and his acting in it was superb. He's an incredible actor in all aspects. However, I saw 500 Days of Summer with Joesph-Gordon Levitt, he too was also in Inception, and he was quite brilliant in it. He had a quirkiness aura in it and the timing of his humor is perfect. I also enjoyed watching Ellen Page in Inception and also in Juno. She's one of my favorite actress, alongside Zooey Deschanel.
He really is, I wish more people really noticed him as a true actor, not just a supporting character, however he is great at both those roles.
He was awesome even when he was a kid. Watch Third Rock from the Sun and Ten things I hate about you, talk about showing potential early.
