How did you feel about the story GTA V featured? Do you think they could've included more things to make it better?
I loved the story and I think that people who felt it was too short didn't pick the right ending. If you choose the ending where all 3 characters survive, the game is a little longer because you have to take out all the enemies that are causing problems for the 3 main characters.
I never really pay attention to the story all that much so as long as it is serviceable I don't mind, which in this case it was. I think just a little bit of story to help you move things along from mission to mission is good enough and the story here was fine.
Story is fine but it was too short. Well, the story was focused too much to Michael because you he has the most complicated life between them. And I want some DLC or new mission on Campaign.
I absolutely loved the story. In fact, I loved it so much, that I'm now on my third playthrough, trying to get it 100% completed. This game might have had the best story in a recently released game.
The story is great, however I dislike that at some point I must choose between the main personages who to kill.
No you don't. One option lets you keep everyone alive. If you didn't figure that out from actually playing the game, one would think that you would've caught on by reading some of the posts in this thread. Who did you kill when you played the game?
The story is great but it was too short. You get to explored the past between Trevor and Michael and focused too much on Michael. And Frank's story was really short and I wish they gave him a better story rather than involving himself with his bud Lamar getting into trouble every time.
I agree. Something was a bit off for me with this storyline even though I still liked it. I think the previous ones were just a bit more focused since they just use one character.
I played it 2 times as well, but I'm not able to get that 100% no matter how much I try. People say that the story is short, but I don't think that's the case. They probably picked a bad ending.
I agree. I even liked the trailer a lot more for the previous one because I thought the premise was a little more compelling. I think they did what they could with balancing out multiple characters on storylines on this one though so I can still appreciate it.
I found the story to be pretty good, with lots of characters and backstory. It's a shame that you have to play so much of the game to get all the cutscenes though.
Yeah I feel the same way sometimes for these GTA games too. I don't often pay much attention to cutscenes but GTA always has some charm to them so I tend to watch a bit more when it comes to this game. I know there are often compilations of cutscenes on youtube so maybe just check those out if you don't feel like going through all the gameplay again.
Well, I think they focused on Franklin the least because he's both the youngest and the most normal. He's neither lived long enough nor done enough independently to warrant an interesting past. He's always been the grunt, not the leader. Even in the trio, Franklin looks to Michael as a mentor, and does things under his (and sometimes Trevor's) influence.
The story was my favorite part about the game. It wasn't anything amazing by any means, but it was just fun. I played through it twice and I usually don't like to replay games.
