It's a very complicated organic scale to achieve. But with will power and a lot of hard work it's totally possible to get there.

I'm really glad I got to see this on this forum. My mind has been occupied with other racing games that I neglected the Dirt series for a while.

Sounds like a very good feature but may I ask how detailed is the team building feature in DIRT 4. For instance, Do you hire your own mechanics and do you have to deal with sponsorship? Can you recruit drivers from rival teams?

Sometimes I do not want all that details though and hiring and firing and management decision might cloud the game, for me at least. Other times I do like that stuff though so I guess I would hope for some options.

I am all for adding realistic features like this but it also can take the fun out of the game if you have to micromanage your team like you would a character in the Sims. We all want to spend more time racing and less time being a manager. Even though building your own team is an awesome feature, I do not see most casual gamers appreciating this because it doesn't really enhance the gameplay that much and is simply there for hardcore fans who are into immersion.

Definitely. What are the different types of news? Well, this is roughly how I’d break it down. Breaking news This is hard news: the stuff that no one expects to happen, that everyone has to spring into action to cover. It can be small — the mayor calls a press conference to announce a new budget — or large, like 9/11 or the fall of the Berlin Wall. It can be a big art heist. The key thing is that you can’t plan for it. Basic hard news Divided into all kinds of categories, political, business/economic, sports, arts, international, etc. This is more general news, of the kind that we know is going to happen and we can plan around. We know that in September, the United Nations has a big general session. We know that baseball games are played, and trials are held. We know that there are Congressional hearings. What makes it “hard” news? It all revolves around very basic facts: who, what, where, why when, etc. News features So, the hard news was that the economy added 300,000 jobs last month. The news feature is the article that puts that in some kind of context or makes us think about it in a different way. For instance: yes, these are new jobs, but they aren’t the same kind of jobs that were lost in the recession. Or: here are the kind of jobs that they are, let’s spend a lot of time with the people being hired, and talk to them about their job hunts, and explore what getting these jobs meant to them. Or, let’s look at the states that are getting the lion’s share of these new jobs, and explain why they are getting more of the jobs. Or, what do you REALLY need to get a job. And so on. So, it’s still news, but it’s a kind of evergreen approach: a story that could be updated and run any month, with a different kind of news “peg”. Lifestyle/entertainment articles Pretty self-explanatory, and I would argue not really “news” in the true sense of the word, but heck, they still end up in newspapers and broadcasts because people still care about learning what happens to their favorite celebrities! And learning what kinds of decorative trends are taking shape. And so on. Profiles Instead of focusing on an event, the catalyst for the news article is the individual. Someone who is very interesting for some reason: perhaps who has been in the news for some reason. This is a feature article, but it’s a chance to delve into who the person is and their history. Investigative News In-depth article or series of articles, based on extensive reporting over weeks, months of work, by a reporter or a team of reporters, that discloses stuff that has been hidden from public view, ranging from political corruption to other kinds of malfeasance. The central idea is that the stories being told involve something that disadvantages or harms ordinary citizens, and that the rest of us would have struggled to find out what was really happening without the access to sources and information that journalists have. Most news of all kinds — legal stuff, international news, domestic news, sports coverage, political news, what’s happening in your own city or nationally, what’s going on in the education arena or in finance — fits into one of these broad TYPES of news.

DiRT series is one of my favorite racing franchise hands down. Although I don't play that much racing games, I always make sure I spare time for DiRT
