The length of the stages could be increased and like you say @Sosi, I do think that there is room on the game to incorporate this for those of us that prefer to drive for longer, but to be honest I don't think that there is that many of us that do. Looking at what other players have said from previous games, more people actually prefer the shorter races and so I'd imagine that's why they have gone down that route.
