If there’s any racing franchise that’s no stranger to delays, it’s Gran Turismo. Given that the PS4 is still relatively young, we might expect to have to wait until 2017 to see the next entry in Sony’s Gran Turismo series, but that won’t be so, says creator Kazunori Yamauchi. At least, not if he has anything to say about it. Yamauchi told the Italian website Spaziogames in an exclusive interview that he wants the game out by the holiday season of 2016 at the latest. “People will not wait so much… We are talking about Gran Turismo, we must not wait so long,” he said. He also spoke about other concerns: regarding the series’ spotty record with impact physics, Yamauchi said developer Polyphony is making it a priority this go-round to focus on the physics engine and make it as realistic as possible. Yamauchi closed by revealing that Gran Turismo 7 will feature high-end graphics, but that’s been no weakness of the series; normally the most realistic-looking games of any Playstation console are GT games. I was hopping that Sony would announce something relating to Grand Tourismo 7 this year. It seems that we are going to get some more GT in today's' conference. Can't wait for it.
Please let it come already! I have a friend who is absolutely NUTS for Gran Turismo, and he keeps telling me about "how great it'll be!" or "oh my god, it's gonna be confirmed today!!!". Gosh, I love Gran Turismo too, but he's truly nuts about it.
The previous Gran Turismo games have been fantastic and hopefully this one is going to be awesome as well! It's good to hear that the game is going to come out this year.
Good to hear, but I would't like to see standard cars back for GT7, so I think, using GT6 as the base game, new premium cars & engine sounds should be top priority for GT7.
