Briefly, a listing for the Need for Speed reboot was posted at Xbox.com. It was taken down, but not before the Internet at large discovered it, making it impossible to erase. The listing mentions a release date of November 3, 2015. Xbox.com has posted placeholder dates in the past, so this may not be accurate. But EA did say they would like to get the game out sometime this year, and a release within the holiday season wouldn’t be surprising. The listing DOES, however, also mention some features of the game that were previously unrevealed. “Carve your own unique path, via multiple overlapping stories, gaining reputation on your journey to become the ultimate icon… Build a car that reflects your character through extensive visual and performance customization. Need for Speed returns with five unique ways to play: Speed, Style, Build, Crew, and Outlaw, enabling you to earn reputation and ultimately win your way.” None of those “five unique ways to play” were mentioned by EA in their initial reveal of Need For Speed. The listing also mentions a new mode called West Coast Urban. “Discover a nocturnal open world of urban car culture you never knew existed. Ventura Bay is your urban playground; from downtown, the harbour, and the canyons, the city comes alive while you sleep.” With just these two sentences to go on, it’s unclear exactly what it is. (An online social hub? An open-world GTA-like stage?) E3 isn’t far off, and a lot of these questions are bound to be answered soon. The post Whoops! Need For Speed Release Date Might Have Been Leaked appeared first on Racing Game Central. Continue reading...
Welp, I'm really curious to see what E3 is going to bring to the table in terms of racing games. Hope Need for Speed is going to bring in a competition-worthy game this year!
It sounds like they're going to mesh different franchises from within NFS together into one game. That's an interesting approach.
Hmmm I am excited about this, they have damn near every feature that I could want in a NFS I just hope they pull it off properly and they don't hold back on the PC release. I will play the hell out of a NFS game, my mouth is watering at the thought of playing this one. E3 can not get here soon enough.
November's a lot closer than I thought it was a week ago. Then again, it did change from May to June. :3
I am not really looking forward to this game to be honest. Let's see what intent has to say about this game before I go out and get this game.
