Do you prefer downloading games to your console or getting a hardcopy of games?

Well definitely the hard copy because the quality of video, graphics, sound is better .

 

ALWAYS the hard copy of the game in case there is a really cool glitch or feature that the developers later feel is not worth keeping in the game. Yeah, if you are connected to the internet the game will be patched as soon as you boot it up, but there are many 360 games where the offline version is just so much more fun before they added a bunch of patches and nerfs. In most games bugfixes and patches are welcome but what if it's a really funny glitch that you love to do over and over?

I am so glad Rockstar never patched the swingset glitch from GTA IV. Hours of entertainment were had by launching cars across the map and watching Niko fly.

 

I often do the same but only to find out, that the game is no good or has a virus. Downloading is much easier however if you plan on doing it from torrent you have to navigate through viruses.

 

Unless the game is only available for download, I prefer buying a physical copy of a game. If something horrible happens to your console or handheld, you will lose those downloaded games and have to pay to get them again when you replace your console or handheld. At least, if you have a tangible copy, you don't have to spend extra money on that as well.

 

Ah, the swingset glitch. That glitch is probably one of the funniest glitches I've ever seen. There's a similar glitch in GTA5, but it involves a gated driveway instead of a swingset.

 

I didn't realize that the quality is better for physical copies of the game. Is this really the case? I always assumed they were about the same since I guessed that discs only were basically digital copies burned onto hardware.

 

I can't even find a decent place to download games anymore.

 

If I had a ton of space, which I do I have around 300 gb of storage in my PS3, then I would love downloading games. I am a lazy person and if I have to switch out every game then that is just too much for me and what if the games themselves got stolen, scratched beyond repair and/or damaged? However, that could easily happen with my PS3 account where my games that I have downloaded are gone but I'm sure there is a way to get them back. Basically, I'm screwed both ways.

 

I have always preferred downloading a game rather than going out and buying physical copy of a game. I don;t mind not getting the collection as long as I am getting to play the game.

 

I prefer to donwlnoad but my Internet is not good for downloading big files. But it's more convenient tho. With a Hard copy, I think it's nice to have one too for a collection or something.

 

Downloading is the best for me. I download on the Xbox, and it's much easier to just download the games. The only down side would be not having enough hard drive space.

 

I definitely like getting a hard copy of the game. I never really liked having only a digital copy of the game because I don't really trust my online storage. It's trust-able, but I feel that it's safer to have an actual copy of the game itself.

 

It's much more convenient to get a digital copy of the game instead of a hard copy, though I like having CDs for most of my games just to stack them up on my shelf, like books.

 

I am more skeptical of hard copies because I know I could always just re download my games if I bought them online but if I scratch my discs then that's it for the game I paid for. I'm more clumsy and messy though so that's just what is right for me.

 

Digital downloads for me, since I can easily recover another copy should anything go wrong with my hardware. Also, they tend to be cheaper during sales, since there's les cost involved for publishing in digital format.

 

I like the way it looks to have, almost like, a display or library of your video games on bookshelves. I stack them up, and proudly show them along with my books and DVDs. You can't get that look or pride from digital downloads. Besides, the hard copies can raise in value and become collectible.

 

I'm not a collector myself but I agree that it's nice to see a collection of physical copies. I always kind of envy seeing the libraries of other people but I myself wouldn't be able to manage it As well because I'm very disorganized.

 

Oddly, I prefer hard copies because you never know when the system crash and it loses everything. Dowlaoding games maybe more convenient but I think more in depth about the "what if" sutuations.

 

I always was someone who preferred the hard copies but then I made the transition. I just could not help but like avoiding the clutter and having the convenience of having it right there on the device. It does bring up some issues with re-installation if that is ever an issue, like @Naturalbeauty92 mentioned, but I have not yet experienced that so fingers crossed I guess.

 

Well It depends on a couple of factors. If you want a refund or to trade the game, you need a hard copy. I do enjoy downloading some games if I know I'm going to keep them for life. Their is also the convenience factor. Sometimes it's just easier to download a game from the comfort of your own home.
