There a new mortal Kombat coming out soon and I just checked some trailers for it. It looks nice enough and I'm excited to see how they revamp the characters again this time, and I'm also hyped to see the new ones as well. I hope they put in lots of environment traps though. I'm a very big fan of those. What do you guys think of MKX so far?

Haven't seen it yet but I'm excited to see what it looks like. Mortal Kombat was a favorite pass time for me growing up and I'm glad to still see the makers continue to make new versions.

There's a trailer of it on youtube, you should go see it if you're a fan. They added some new characters and it seems like sub zero has a new human version, but it's just a teaser so that's all I know.

    FATALITY

While some might be put off by the gore and violence I think it's mostly exaggerated in good fun. Still I wouldn't really recommend it to children and teens.

Yeah the newer versions have gotten way more gory as you can imagine the level of detail they get to put in every new version. The kids in my family got to play it a few times but even though they were amused by it they never really obsessed over it like they do other games that are more tame.

I think it JUST released on Steam. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I saw it on the front page of Steam. It looks pretty cool! Anyone planning to get it?

I haven't played any Mortal Kombat games but I know the popularity of the game and saw the trailer. One thing for sure, is that the game has excellent graphics for a fighting game. Fighting games don't have this kind of graphic quality like this, especially for this kind of genre. But guess what, the graphics are amazing and I heard that the reviews were good, for sure above average.

I have seen it and I think that it is out now. When I look at the game play of this game all I can say it wow this game looks like it will be off the chain. I think that when I get pay next month that I will go and get the game.

Agreed. I really was impressed with the graphics especially when I got to compare it to the ps3 version. Although I have to say that as the game gets more graphically better it loses the charm a bit for me since I always loved it more for the campy feel.

Ha! Yeah, I get the campy thing for sure. Mortal Kombat has always been that game where you felt the cartoonish vibe of the deaths and the animation. Yes, the goriness was crude but it was also darkly funny. But that was like way back retro Mortal Kombat. Instead of the laughs and the dark chuckles, we get the wince and the occasional covering of the eyes when we this new game's fatalities. The campiness was great for the old games but this new game increases the shock value and lessens the darkly funny laughs into oblivion. It's a great game, no doubt. It really does progress the game forward. But to this extent, it may be a too big of a leap.

I've been watching some streams of gameplay of it and it did seem like it was something that could get tiring very fast. After a while the fatalities didn't even seen all that exciting to me anymore, but I was giving it some benefit of the doubt since I'm not really that much of a fan to begin with.

I don't like Mortal Kombat X. Like almost every other Mortal Kombat game, it just feels way too clunky for a fighting game. Movement is clunky, animations are bad, I don't like how combos work, etc. I would rather play any other fighting game...

It doesn't look bad, but it's just not my type of game. I played the Mortal Kombat that came out before this one, the newer one. I enjoyed it for a bit, and then I got bored of it. The controls are targeted towards people who use controllers. I don't use or own a controller. I play with a mouse and a keyboard. The controls are weird and I can't memorize any of the special moves and stuff like that. However, the finishers are pretty nice.

This game looks so brutal! I remember when the first one came out and my mom walked in just as Scorpion did his fatality. She freaked out! That's nothing compared to what I've seen. Holy crap! It's still fun to play though.

I've come to realize I'm getting bored with playing it too, as much as I hate to admit it because I do like this title a lot. I think it's mostly because I'm more a fan of street fighter type gameplay.

I have been playing Mortal Kombat games ever since I was like 9 years old. Mortal Kombat is one of my favorite games ever and I am so glad that they are still developing games for it. I even loved the movie.

MKX is amazing, one of the best 1 on 1 combat games I've played, if not the best. I love the graphics, sound, atmosphere and gameplay - it's like you're a really skilled ninja once you know the combos.

I loved the movie too and I am hoping they come out with a new one. Although I haven't been keeping up so I don't know many of the characters anymore.

Oh, the first Mortal Kombat movie was great. Mortal Kombat: Annihilation was somewhat inferior. I think, though some may say they were bad movies, I think they're 90's classics for the MK fans to enjoy.
