My vote goes for the triple red shell as well, it's just so versatile that you can either use it to get whoever is in front of you or you can keep them so they protect you from incoming attacks. The ink is very useful as well, but of course only when playing against other players.
The one that can be seen as good or bad depending on the position your in when racing is the blue shell bomb. Sometimes it comes in handy when you are near or at the last lap, but someone else is in first place and the shell bomb gets them you get a clear opening just make sure you are not too close otherwise you'll get affected by the explosion too. Now if you are in first place through out the entire race and the race is almost coming to an end when suddenly someone happens to throw a blue shell bomb it obviously couldn't come at a worse time when you clearly are about to win. So that would be one of the reasons to not like the shell bomb if it costs you the race.
LOL "ruins friendships" too true! I also really like the blue shell but I don't seem to get it too often. I feel that when I'm in first, there's an unlimited amount but as soon as I fall behind, I never get one I think my favourite is the star. I like being able to hit everyone and everything in my path and know that they'll go flying lol. My least favourite is probably the ink though, that thing is pure pointless - I think out of all the times I've been hit with it, it's only really impaired my driving once. I did not know that and must try it ASAP! I really hope it works because those blue shells are a real annoyance lol. Thanks for the tip
Hah, ruins friendships for sure, the thing is evil itself. It's fun to use but not worth being at such a disadvantage for, in my opinion. I prefer the triple red shell- I like the ability to use it in different ways depending on what I need, I'm always up for a versatile choice like that.
I'm going to keep it oldschool, and go for the mushrooms. I love being able to speed past my competitors, getting that extra bit of speed before hitting a ramp or driving over rough terrain at a quicker pace to take a shortcut. I'm a fan of the shells too when they aren't directed towards me. The Blue Shell is pure evil, as is Bullet Bill.
Hmm tough question, but I'd have to go with the 3 red shells: They come of great use in competitive/online matches, because you can easily slower your opponents down and get ahead in the race! Aside from the 3 red shells, my second favorite would have to be the infinity power-up (for obvious reasons) because you get to become invincible for a short while!
When doing some serious racing, the red shells are the best, better than the blue shell, since it can't protect you from others, and if you get a blue shell, you're often somewhat behind, so you don't get much advantage if the player in first gets hit. When you're just derping and not going to much for that win, and if you get behind, the shock and the invincibility are great for trolling everyone
Gotta go with the variety pack. It's a whole arsenal of destruction. I can't say the blue shell only because it's RARE for anyone in my racing group to get the darn thing.
I'd have to go with any of the shells. They're simple yet effective, so I'm not going to complain about that. I like the green shells most because they take a little more skill to use, but that's far more satisfying.
I like the triple red shells and the blue shell. When I am far behind I think that the best item that I could get is that blue shell. That shell has the ability to bring you from all the way behind to winning the race. So if I had to choose I would go with the blue shell. What if you could be able to get three blue shells now that would be a massacre.
I love the blueshell. I've loved it since back in the day. However, it's really annoying when one comes up on you and makes you go to like 8th place haha.
I think you gotta go with the classic blue shell. It is by far the most powerful power up and the feeling you get after taking down the guy in first place and stealing his spot is like none other.
Can't really argue with the Blue Shell. The last shot you can pull off to actually have a chance at winning the race after being at the back of the pack. Now THAT is true power. You can defeat the player who has been in front of the line the entire game, all with just one move, and that is really an amazing ability to have, so much so that it can very well end friendships when two people play this game.
When I start to think about my favorites, I think that I tend to lean towards the ones that frustrate my opponents the most. I know they like seeing my almost lose it and throw controllers, so I like to return the favor. For those reasons, I would say the lightning and the spiny shell are my two favorites to get.
I think that the blue shell is a very powerful and effective weapon, and is therefore my favorite. For it to be very effective, however, you have to use logic and reasoning. You have to be reasonably close to 1st place, because it probably won't do much if you're in last place. You can find a time that is very good to use the blue shell, like right before the carts ahead of you are at the finish line, so that they don't have the time to catch up with you.
Well I love how you are really keeping it simple here. Nothing too fancy, but back to basic with some basic strategy moves. It makes me think that you are pretty good at the game though, so I am not sure if I would want to find out. They are certainly the ones that should be used intelligently though, so I respect the choice my friend. Thanks for sharing.
