The update is pretty huge at 4.8 GB! Look around online and you'll see that some people have managed to obtain the Heists update ahead of time. I doubt it's legal though, and wouldn't really want to take a risk with it. Would your copy of the game be voided if you did such a thing?
I don't think they would void your game, but I wouldn't risk it either. We don't have that much left to wait, so I'd suggest we stay safe and wait patiently.
They can't "void" your copy of the game, but they can prevent you from accessing GTA Online for downloading the update. Then again, that's not necessarily those users' fault that they got something earlier, so I doubt Rockstar is going to do much about this.
I think that the only thing they can do is ban you from GTA: Online. However, that might not even happen. I wonder how people got this early.
I don't think it would void the game, but they probably could do something to remove the add on or something. I personally wouldn't rush it just because I'd much rather get the finished product instead. If I got it now and it turns out to be incomplete or buggy then it would just spoil the experience.
Well, Heists came out just today, so people got the download right before its actual release. If there are any bugs, then everyone else is going to experience them, too. I doubt Rockstar will have any response on the matter because it's not the end of the world for anyone.
Yep. By any chance, did you get a chance to try Heists out yet? I'm not gonna have a chance to try it out until tomorrow night, sadly.
I don't think that if someone was able to get it before the release date that they would void the game but I do think that they would be able to ban that person from being able to play the game online for sometime. It is a really huge update though and I really like that they continue to give us such good content and the better thing about it all is that it is free.
