I don't understand the official review scores for this game, its great. I actually bought if for the ps4 but I went by the positive user reviews on steam. Hell I would gladly give up drive club to have had this as our exclusive driving game.
Well, since the game received mixed reviews, that means there were good and bad reviews. You know, the same thing that happens with most games. Why are you surprised?
Because you shouldn't be surprised. The game isn't that good, at least it wasn't upon release. In fact, it was terrible on launch day and has slowly climbed the ladder to being a good game...months later.
The game itself isn't that bad, but the fact it doesn't really brings anything new to the genre attracted a few bad reviews for it. To be honest, I get a sense of deja-vu from it. It really looks and feels like another NFS clone. Sorry if you're a fan, but that's the impression I got from this game.
The reviews I've seen were mostly positive but yeah I guess some people just don't see it as being that much exceptional which I can understand to be honest. Maybe the sequel will be much better since they have learned a lot from this version.
It has mixed reviews as do most of the games. Some people like it, some people don't and that's okay. The Crew is a pretty cool game, and you should just play it and make judgements by yourself.
Two things about this game really pissed me off. Don't get me wrong it's a great racing game but I just don't understand why the devs didn't put an option to sell or trade in old cars and I don't get why you can't start a new game... The devs claim that you can redo missions and that's basically good enough but it would be nice to start over with some different cars and take a different approach at beating the game.
I've seen a lot of positive reviews. But this is actually really common, this means the game can be great for you but bad for me. It's all opinions. Just play the game and have yours.
At the end of the day reviews mean nothing when it comes to individual taste. I have loved games that have gotten awful reviews in the past. It's really no surprise that you love the game even though it didn't get stellar reviews.
Agreed. I think the noise is much louder when a game is universally panned, so unless it reaches that point I really wouldn't consider the game that much of a critical failure or even close to it.
Many of the bad reviews are simply because the game is made by Ubisoft, and it's been getting lots of bad reputation built up lately. When someone goes into a game biased toward the company, they'll be looking for specific flaws, and not so much the positives.
I did not know ubisoft gets a lot of hate. I know ea is the most hated game company though although I don't exactly remember why.
From what I read the game started out decent but updates and patches fucked up both graphics and physics. Also I hear the game doesn't have many cars to begin with.
There was a great deal of controversy over the DLC practices. The Season Pass for day one buyers didn't include the latest update to the game.
It's normal for a game to have bad reviews. Having mixed reviews in the game is normal. Based on my experience of playing the game, it's good one.
Every game had good and bad reviews from players. It depends on the likes and dislike of a person. It is better that6 we play the game first, explore it and then make a review. Everyone has different kind of choice about games but this game is best for those people who are big fans of Crew.
I really liked how the game looked so I got it on sale. Now I wish I spent my money on something else because the sale was not even worth it. The UI and the scenery was what made me stop playing this game.
To be honest I don't know why The Crew got so many bad reviews. I played it and I didn't hate it. I mean there are way worst arcade racer games out here.
