I think they should add new tracks to the game. They could release some patches that adds some new and interesting tracks in the game.
I agree, I think forums are great place to find out how the game has been received and if there are any problems. I don't know if the developers of MXGP2 do this but I hope they do.
I don't think that MXGP2 is bad, I just think that the spacing between the two games wasn't that much so we should expect something completely different.
The two games are nearly identical so it's logical that if you get the one that was launched more recently it should be the better one.
For some reason a love for the first in any series is really significant. I've known several series that had great sequels after the original. Though, the first always seems to have that sort of feeling that just can't seem to be recreated.
I do believe mxgp2 is better than the first one, it's been improved in the graphics department and also in the gameplay. Although I have to say that gameplay wise I didn't see many changes I only noticed it felt more fluid but apart from that the most noticeable improvements are in the graphics department. Graphics nowadays have become the most important aspect of a game, people have forgotten that gameplay is even more important because if you don't have good gameplay then graphics won't matter that much.
Well, that's somewhat true, but you have to take into account that there are many games which their first versions were better than the latest ones.
I would love some new tracks. Usually in racing games that's mostly all it takes to keep me coming back. I usually just stick to a few favorite cars so I value maps a lot more.
That's right. That definitely is the main reason of why people get bored of playing this sort of game. I know a guy who plays in every single track and then sells the game, what a player.
That is true but if some one is trying out the game for the first time they have no way of comparing the two. In the case of MXGP series I think the second one is better though.
The second game in the MXGP2 series IS the better one, but that is how it should be really as the game developers have learned from the mistakes of the first game. Having said that, MXGP2 is far from flawless as well though so if you have played the first game in the series and expecting this one to be 100 times better, while it is slightly better, I do think that you are going to end up being a little let down.
