Yes that's true, although some game franchises improve with time, like the NFS game franchise.

 

It definitely does feel like GT6 focuses on car quanity over quality in other departments - there is a huge roster, that remains heavly weighted towards cars from the 90s and eary 2000 that appeared in GT3 and GT4.
