It's pretty toxic just like every other popular mp game. I would recommend everyone who is bothered by that to just play with friends.
Between those pesky Tryhards and the little kids swearing in-game, GTA online is one of the most toxic gaming communities known to man. I agree with finding a group of people to play heists with and do races. I myself do indulge in a bit of trolling at times in random lobbies but it isn't really malicious and usually, everybody gets a good laugh. I still enjoy the chaos in random GTA lobbies because it is a war game but not to the extent of ruining the game for other people.
Toxic players will always be apart of any popular, competitive online game due to players wanting to prove they are the best. The competition brings out the worse in some people and they lose sight of what their real purpose of playing GTA in the first place was - for fun. I am not really bothered by these toxic players because I know how to deal with most of them and it is usually best to just ignore them.
I agree, no matter how people want to run you down for saying so. GTA Online's experience is directly associated to the individuals who play and how they play. When I play with people I know are not SOBs, I do have fun. When I play with random idiots over time, I frequently lose patience with all of them. There will always be more idiots than friends, and unfortunately, friends in this game are short-lived.
I agree. Randoms makes it interesting though because you may just happen to group up with a bunch of like-minded individuals as yourself and you become tryhard hunters. It's fun seeing a lobby full of tryhards all quitting because they don't want you messing their k/d ratio up/
Ignoring the spam by above poster. Let me get back into the topic. I think GTA is known for it's toxicity and it has a lot of bad impact on the kids. But it's something I'd say won't be that bad.
I think racial discrimination and also the violence aspect is going to be there too. So it's kind of toxic in its own ways.
Violence aspect is definitely toxic and not a lot can be done about it. I agree that such games need to have some sort of regulation of it's own way.
Toxic or not a lot can't be done if the developers have their mind set on things. Because they are the one driving the game.
Maybe it's toxic when you play with ramdom players online. But me I always invite my friends to play around so I won't experience being toxicated by other players.
Beating people for mission and killing them and doing vandalism is definitely toxic. That's what I have noticed so far.
GTA V Online is not toxic at all. It's no secret that there are some nasty players out there but I'd argue most of them aren't. Choosing a few good players to play with would be a good strategy to enjoy GTA online while also maintaining your sanity. It is not the game that's toxic, but just some of the players.
