Gran Turismo looks extremely pretty, no doubt about that. Fans of the series definitely would have a lot to love with this game. I've spent a considerable amount of time with this game and I've enjoyed it. But after a while, I've felt a bit of emptiness. Now, races seem routine and the excitement factor has toned down. Actually, races are now pretty boring. Do you feel the same way like I do?
You mentioned a very good point which is one that I share. Races do seem routine and this is what gets me bored with track racing games. I much prefer street racing where it is more crazy and unpredictable.
To me the game is very interesting. I am huge fan of racing games, so I can playing hours at a time. Depending on the day, sometimes I will get bored and turn the game off, or even choose another game to play.
To me the game suffers from the same problem as every other Gran Turismo. There is no structure to the game. When there is such a wide array of races to enter and cars to select I get bored with it as I need some structure. It is hard to see the benefit to doing all of the different races without a clear goal in sight.
This is the major problem with any racing games. After a while the races seem to be boring. Same tracks, same opponents and almost same results.
If I do I just switch games and take a little break. Sometimes on the weekends my husband gets annoyed with me, I will be in the middle of a few hours sitting in front of the game and I am like "It's okay babe, go ahead and feed the kid, I got this".
I get bored with every game I play, that is why I tend to switch them up. At the start of the week I might be playing something and two days later I am on my fourth game for the week. I tend to get bored really easy so staying active no matter what I am doing is always the best bet for me.
I agree with Kandikkal, mostly every racing game suffers from this problem. What makes repetitive races fun for me is trying to beat my fastest time. I admit though, after a while I have to stop playing just because you can only do so much to keep a repetitive game interesting.
I played Gran Turismo 5 for a long, long time. Maybe because I love cars, and the game had so much to do, I don't know, I just loved playing it.
Oh definitely, but does it take a long time before it does. When you stop using overpowered cars and decide to use cars with similar PP, you're more on the edge when you're racing.
I tend to get bored sometimes too. I've noticed it can be like that for a lot of games after a while.
GT 6 is is beautiful but boring car porn. If Gran Turismo's creators aspire for another 100 million unit sales, they better make the game accessible.
If I get bored I just hop online and have a nice challenging race. Beating Focus RS's in my Green Suzuki Swift is awesome The game looks beautiful at times, I can't wait to see the next gen GT7 as that will be a visual dream.
Gran Turismo 6 is a pretty game and all and the graphics are very awesome and it seems like you could play it forever but after so long you do feel like your going to run out of gas and your mind passes on to something else.
Ah yes I can get bored quick. I love racing games like gran Turismo, but after awhile I am pretty much done. I usually give myself about three days to be honest, because I am just so worn with the whole racing thing now. I don't even get them as much anymore like I used to because I just won't play them anymore.

I think it is because of the nature of simulators, you really have to love the core concept to enjoy it day in day out. With GTA it is exciting at first because of the realism but then this realism becomes stale compared to arcade racers, it also makes racing a bit boring because of the limits of the gameplay.
I do, but I usually play it when I'm bored. The great thing about having multiple games is being able to switch out and refresh if one game is starting to burn you out.
I agree with you, the track racing games can get boring after a while oppossite of the street racing games out there. But that doesn't bother me too much with this game, because I don't play it so much that it would get boring, I play it from time to time, but it doesn't get boring to me because I don't play enough for it to become boring in my opinion.
