What's the hardest game you've ever played? The hardest game I've ever played has to be Battletoads. I was fairly young when it first came out, so that probably has a lot to do with why I just couldn't seem to finish it. But I swear, my older cousin and I wasted so many summer nights away trying to beat this God forsaken game, lol. We kept dying on the final stage.. and you know with early NES games, you couldn't save your progress so you had to start all the way from the beginning. A runner up might be one of the first three Mortal Kombat games. I remember it used to feel like the CPU was anticipating and predicting my moves.. It was so frustrating to die time and time again after getting all the way up the ladder. You can take any and every console you've ever played on into consideration here. What game was the most difficult for you to beat/finish?
There isn't any one for me. There are multiple fighting games that I've never been able to beat on hard difficulty. MK4 being the more memorable one for me. Also, Tekken 3, 4, 5, and Super Street Fighter 4. I'm surprised I never got an aneurysm.
Lmao man, I feel your pain. Never really got into Tekken, wasn't a PS guy. But fighting games just seem to be the toughest.
Yeah, if any game makes you want to bite your controller through pure rage - it's a fighting game. SSF4 annoyed me so many times.
The hardest game I ever played was Out Of This World for the SNES. The game itself is very short with only a few stages but the game is very hard and you have to be extremely precise just to get past each stage. Although I was only a child when I played it, there are still many adults who have had trouble getting through that game.
My hardest game has to be Soul Calibur V. Not the normal campaign dificulty, but the Tower of Souls. I was never able to beat the entire tower and I still wouldn't be able to if I tried today.
I played The Last of Us, and the campaign isn't hard, there are just some frustrating scenes and tense moments. However, the multiplayer is hard and requires teamwork. Although, it's also about lick and skill to help you. On a plus note: League of Legends as a newcomer. Just pure torture.
I find most NES games to be very hard. I was only able to finish a couple of games and most of them, I've failed to finish (including Super Mario). I find Tekken games to be ready though (except part 6).
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES, I was having so much fun until I got to that underwater level, never got past that.
I think the hardest game I've ever played would be the ones back in the day since there was no ability to save back then and games weren't as well thought out. In this case, I'd pick beating Contra without the cheat code as one of the most difficult feats in gaming for me, because I've seen it done but I just can't finish it myself without the cheat.
Yeah, NES probably owns this topic for the lack of a save feature. Man, if any of you've ever played Silver Surfer for the NES.. Man! One of the hardest games ever.. if ANYTHING touches you, you're dead and you have to start over. It was so frustrating, lol.
I guess you hit the nail on the head, most of these frustrations and difficulties can be solved by adding a save feature, I guess that's something that make games easier but especially less frustrating.
Those are all incredibly easy games (except the mention of NES, Contra was a bitch). The most difficult game ever is QWOP. Just look it up.
I think the hardest game I ever played was God Of War. When I was younger I use to have a hard time beating God Of War, it just seemed so hard to beat. However now I think it would probably be a lot easier since I have gotten better at videogames now.
Castlevania, FREAKING A MAN. That game is hard. QWOP is not hard fyi I've beaten it like 3 times. You just have to have a strategy and stick with it and it's really quite easy.
I agree. I've only gotten to play Symphony of the. Night and I heard that the other ones were way more difficult but this one was definitely challenging enough, especially back in e day when there was no online information you could just look up instantly so if you got stuck you were pretty much on your own.
Yeah you could definitely cheat the game a bit by grinding and gaining items early, but I myself was able to finish the game without much extra work so I think it was good that they at least didn't make it necessary to do so just to get far.
The Impossible Game. Simple premise, yet very hard to master. I've played it for several years now, and have yet to beat the first level without using flags. I've also grown to love the techno music played in it by ENV.
