I surely won't as there are not that many games that catch my attention. Am a little short on money too so I have to wait anyway. Edit: sorry, I meant "buy" of course.
I think you can edit the title with advanced edit? I won't be buying my PS4 straight away because I want to wait until the hype is over and the price goes down a bit. If you wait for a while there is also a good chance of being able to buy some nice bundles. I probably won't be able to afford it straight away anyway!
No, cannot edit the title. It is definitively good to wait because the prices will drop really fast. At least a bit. Maybe even for christmas?
I'm only interested in the Wii-U, to be honest. Microsoft and Sony have gone crazy with the prices they charge their mediocre DLC. I know Nintendo are getting in on the DLC game but at least their prices are a little more fair.
I remember there was a riot in California when PS3 barely came out. News spranged across the country. I wouldn't be that quick on any game consoles. Better to wait a couple of weeks after the initial release and look for reviews.
I'll only think about getting the PS4 once it comes down to a reasonable price. I know it's new but that's still pretty expensive.
I haven't checked any updates on PS4 but it's usually a good investment. Most of Sony's products are rated with high quality and great performance. That does not mean other products are not, they are unique in their own ways.
Probably not, man. Launch-date prices are usually way too high and they stay too high at least through the first two seasons of it being out. I'll wait a while for the prices to drop.. and I might just get PS4. I don't know about xbox one. The graphics appear to be much improved from 360, but I don't see that much else has changed. So I'd get PS4 on the strength of me never having purchased any generation of Playstation. It'd be something totally new for me. Or, new within reason. Games are games, right? lol
There used to be a website called Decide.com that will actually advised consumers whether to make purchase or wait. Decide.com has helped many people saved money and experienced positive shopping time. Now that site has been bought by eBay.com.
Since I'm selling my ps3 and all the games on ebay, I will definitely be getting the PS4 on the launch date. I like to stay up to date and see the amazing new games released, and I just don't have the kind of patience to wait for prices to go down.
No chance. I give new consoles about a year before I consider purchasing, so any hardware issues can be worked out and fixed. Plus in that time a price drop is possible, however slight.
It depends on a lot of things. The price, the content with the console and the traffic. If everything is busy and people are lining up to buy the console, I wouldn't go near it. If the price is too high for my taste, I wouldn't even look at it. The content also gives a lot of push to me, is there nay bundles, any savings and extra games? It all just comes down to the price really, but it does depend on some of the content and the extra savings or discounts.
No I'm going to wait and see how it plays out and then after a couple months get it probably buy a used one since they start off so expensive.
I'm still waiting for the hype to die down and also the prices to drop. I never buy a console when it first comes out because of the prices. Yes, it sucks hearing how cool it is and all but i can't keep up with the Jones's. I plan to buy an Xbox One, I like Playstation and all but I'm more of an Xbox player.
God no. Never buy the first revision of any console unless you want it to die on you young. Gaming 101. The day 1 models always suck eggs so they have to later release a better model that doesn't die AS FAST.
I didn't pick a console up at launch, and I don't think I would have even if I had that much spare money. I prefer to let the library build up, and I'm not too concerned with getting to play the games at once. I also almost always prefer the second version of the console, and I usually do just buy it whenever that second version is released and it's what I'm doing again with the current generation of consoles.
No I will not be purchasing one of the new consoles yet. I mean I have heard fairly mixed signals about the consoles so far. There are those who say it was worth the money, then there are those who complain about some of the features. I am definitely waiting for the price to decrease.
@msreebaybay same here. I'd much rather decide at the point when the dust has settled and all the comments have been made as well as all the bugs being ironed out. Besides, there just aren't that many games available for it as of now anyway, so I don't feel that much need to rush.
When there is a new console on the marked I don't buy it right away, because I wait for the reviews of the people that have tried the consoles for themselves or that someone near me buys the console so I can try it for myself before I buy it. I don't want to spend so much money on a console that is dissapointing. It's better to be patient and not to buy the consoles right away, because you don't know what you might get.
I'm not big on purchasing new consoles right away. I think it is smarter to wait at least two years, so that during that time you can see if the consoles have any defects, like how the Xbox 360 kept obtaining the red ring of death for example. I also prefer to wait so that game publishers can make more titles available to be played on the new consoles.
