Need for Speed Rivals I doubt this game is going to be any good. What do you think?

Well, I suppose EA in particular has been guilty of this a lot. I mean they essentially release the same game every year in FIFA which only has improved graphics and a few game play changes which fans didn't want in the first place. So, your anger is somewhat justified. That said, I think that there is still hope with the NFS franchise though.

What infuriates me is that people keep buying FIFA games despite all these. I mean, they could have allowed mod tools in the game and we would have done a better job then they do on an annual basis. But how will they print money if they release mod tools like Bethesda or Bohemia do?

Its for reasons like these that FIFA is one of the most pirated games out there. A lot of my friends buy games all the time but I don't think any of them has ever spent a rupee on FIFA. They want the newer games but don't want to buy them because it obviously would be a waste of money.

EA are a great developing company but seem to not listen when people request changes this is different for game developers like Rockstar as they do.

Well you can always hope you will get a surprise and see some innovation on this one. After reading the rest of the comments, the general consensus is everyone expects the same old thing...Good news about forums like these is hopefully the manufacturers or their advertising people do look at this feedback.

If the public "votes" with their dollars and voices, maybe they will give us some real upgrade to look forward to. If the public allows this and any other company to get away with serving yesterdays lunch, over and over, then we get what we deserve.

You certainly don't know what you're talking about here. I am not disrespecting you in any manner, but I am merely stating a fact.

EA pretends like they are taking feedback into account and are listening to it, but in reality, they do what they want to do. I they were listening to their fans, they would have allowed us to mod BF 3 or 4 which they didn't. They really wanna kill the mod community.

On the other hand, Rockstar doesn't like too much talking in public. They like to keep their things private until their game is released.

In my honest opinion the game will be decent, maybe not the best but still playable. It's true that there is no career mode, but I believe it'll be good anyways.

I liked Most Wanted, and the latest one on PS3 was just okay for me. I'm personally reserving judgement until I get to try out the even newer one, but yeah, I haven't been too happy with the direction some of these new games lately. It's like their priorities end at making the games realistic and nothing more. Hopefully, it changes.

I agree with you. The latest NFS games aren't good like the earlier NFS games in the series used to be. EA is obviously increasing the graphics quality, it feels good to play a game which has nice graphics and looks kind of real. But graphics is not everything, we need good game-play also. The older NFS games like Most wanted and Carbon were the best in the series, in the terms of game-play. I don't see any new games having a game-play like those older games. I hope EA keeps it in mind and create games with better gameplay :)

I actually lost interest in the need for speed games a long time ago. They just seemed to be the same game being released without much of a change.

True for pretty much anything that's fated to become a franchise. Just look at shooters, CoD is the best example you'll ever need. If you make dozens of sequels to a single limited concept, you'll eventually start running out of ideas. I mean, the graphics are nicer but it's essentially the same game, and the PC port (in its current state) is atrocious.

Yeah, which is why they should end the franchise before they totally kill it. I guess it wouldn't be that bad since they've made millions already but companies should know when enough is enough. Are you a fan of the need for speed games at all? I absolutely loved the first one and the second one was alright but I didn't like it anywhere near as much as the first.

The past game wasn't enjoyable to me. They should really end it after this one or just not make another for a while. I would rather they go back to the drawing board. These games are becoming repetitive and consumers are growing tired.

Pretty much, yeah. But tell that to EA. The promise of money to them is like water.

I've played a lot of NFS games back in the day, mostly the first couple ones. Most Wanted (the old one) is probably my favourite out of the lot, but Underground wasn't bad either. To tell you the truth I haven't really been following the series lately, Shift was pretty much the most recent one I've played.

If I like the Burnout series, will I like this? I love Burnout Paradise and I saw a lot of reviewers say this was almost a spiritual successor to that game, but I'm not sure I see it. I love Takedown mode, getting my aggression out on other cars, but the Need For Speed series has always seemed more about the races instead of the random fun.

the newest NFS is actually pretty fun. The only big issue I have with it is that it can be a little too fast-paced at times. Driving really quick is awesome, but keeping control is a bit hard sometimes.

I have always been a fan of the Need for Speed series, so I think this game will be no different. I am just hooping it keeps me entertained, because one of the flaws of racing games is how quickly they get boring. If all goes well I am expected a great game !

tedium is certainly a large factor in racing games but I also agree that NFS handles this very well. They normally keep me very well entertained, apart from Pro street.

The last need for speed game that I have played was most wanted. I don't seem to remember most of my played games anymore, and is it worth the money to buy NFS Rivals?

I have been enjoying the latest Need for Speed the graphics in this game are amazing and so realistic. Haven't completely gotten the hang of it just yet, but I am enjoying it in the process. Trying to race someone and escape from police while trying not to crash at the same time isn't so easy.
