Yeah, I usually (not so say "always" :D) listen to my own music while playing NFS because it's more exciting and funny for me!

Some of the songs I always listen to are:

    - "Californication" by Red Hot Chili Peppers
    - "Rockstar" by Rihanna
    - "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons

NFS looks so much better with them (and a lot of other ones ).

Haven't heard of this song, but the name sounds familiar.. I'll try to listen to it real soon when I get the time to.. I've been looking for a rap-sound or effects I can intrude in as I race on a game. I thought downloading a random metal-rock would help, but, Nah. Just keeps the adrenaline up but ain't fun..kinda noise when you pause or get-a-knock while on game.
But NFS Rival's sounds ain't that bad.. what of Most Wanted? Lol. I freaking love this game in a way that I don't recall enabling the sounds settings On. Focus:D:D

No, since I like to discover new music and listening to the game's soundtrack is one of them. Besides, I can listen to my own playlist anytime I want to, so no need to incorporate it in the game.

It's a really great way to get to know new (and nice) songs because the styles are usually always different (making the options more interesting).

I very much agree with you @FuZyOn. I also like the game music very much especially the song with the lines " they go no money, no fancy cars...."
To me, the default songs of the gameplay actually connect to car racing. I think, they were carefully selected, yhh I think so!!
However, I don't actually know how to even upload personal songs, perhaps the reason why I like the defaults so much :D.

@Shine_Spirit, Actually the NFS songs are your usual regular songs, not like in Silent Hill where the songs are instrumental and can only be found exclusively on the game.

I'm too lazy to make my own playlist, so I just get my friends compilation of like 2018's 100 best songs haha.

Yep. Need for Speed games used to have good soundtracks back when EA BB used to develop them, now it's just popular modern trash I can't listen to.

I do that too. I chose up beat music to hype the mood in my gaming room.

It depends - some of the songs in the NFS series are popular song which I happen to like so I will listen to them but I also like to play some hip-hop as well.

True, but in my case I'm still focused on the game when I play it.

I have an hour playlist on phone containing my favorite music in it. I love to listen techno and trance music while playing games. Music adds thrill to the game.

I definitely listen to music for almost any game now. And also have the subscription to amazon prime too.

I always listen to in-game music if I play anything from NFS: Underground to NFS: Carbon. Especially if it's Most Wanted (2005). Haven't played NFS: Heat yet, but idk what to expect music-wise.

I prefer listening to the music from the game and actually download it for my own entertainment outside the game. It's not that I wouldn't enjoy listening to my own playlist but rather that the music and gameplay are interlaced into a perfect game experience. Right from NFS carbon to NFS Most wanted, game music has been spot on and sets up a mellow mood while playing.

One of the best things about creating a Need for Speed playlist is that there is no real specific genre you need to stick to – anything goes!

So whether you’re looking for some adrenaline-pumping rock anthems or some feel-good pop hits, we’ve got you covered.

Some of our personal favourites include:
    • “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC
    • “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” by The Darkness
    • “Paint It, Black” by The Rolling Stones
    • “Jump Around” by House of Pain
    • “We Will Rock You” by Queen
