Career mode for me as well. The sense of progression that it gives when compared to arcade mode is fantastic. I like arcade mode when I just want to drive on a track, but when I want a more indepth, progression driven experience it's career mode all the way.
It is kind of a tough question to me, because while I do enjoy the career mode more, I also tend to get way more frustrated so it is a bit of a toss up as to whether or not I agree with it. If things are all going as planned, though, career mode is just better at keeping my attention and it makes me want to play a lot more. Just gotta hope that it does not backfire on me.
I have never understood why anyone would prefer arcade mode over career mode much less why there even exists an arcade mode. Please explain to me why this is?
I love career mode because I'm actually growing a racer and improving on a day-to-day basis, but arcade mode is fun from time to time when I just want a quick race without the added pressure of keeping my record up.
It is because sometimes you just want to race. You want to turn it on, pick a car, and race. I remember what that was all there was to the games, before all the make your own person and build a career thing. If nothing else, the nostalgia is nice.
Sometimes I feel like Gran Turismo 6 could really use an expanded career mode. If the could find a way to add both car and track DLC in career mode, that would be really amazing.
Career mode because its basically earning from your progress. Although arcade mode is the a fast way to have some fun among friends, career mode is a proof of your efforts.
I would go with the Arcade Mode in Gran Turismo 6, because it is an easy way to enjoy a race, time trial or drift trial as well - you can also race against a friend and Arcade Mode consists of single and multiplayer modes also.
