Have you noticed the fact that the more you play games, you get more addicted to them? But why is that? Some say that this is because games make you feel distracted from the cruel reality. Examples of such situations can be children who grow up in a divorced family. While others say that games cure depression and anxiety. Why do you play games? Do you feel that you are addicted?
Games help me relieved my stress and helped me escape from reality for a while. When I have problems and sometimes I got really stressed out and eventually will make me depressed, games lift me up and makes me happy. It boosts me emotionally and mentally. I don't feel addicted though, for I still do my responsibilities at home and at school. Games are one of my comfort zones.
Some of the times games if played when you are under depression. It is surely going to be having a lot of impact on yourself. So you have to work harder and see where you stand and go from there.
Yes, I agree with. Games for some are stress relievers. Like for me, after a tiring day, I used to lay down on bed and play games with my console or mobile phone while resting. It's a good way for me to take out and forget some stress happen in a day. It's a new world against reality.
Well addiction particularly gaming is like any addiction its because of uncontrolled use. Gaming if not monitored will be unhealthy in due time. Also it can lead to poor productivity and then eventually evolved to other problems.
I think spending too much time on phone and laptop seems to be something that I have been affected with. And I have wasted a lot of time of my years in that. And it has definitely affected my life.
It might have adverse effects, but I'm sure it has a positive side to it. Being knowledgeable about some things because you have spent some time on them helps with conversations with like-minded people, for instance, this forum.
Not sure how it has positive side. I have mostly seen the issues with it. Other than dopamine release and having different mood swings. there does not seem to be any benefit of the game.
I think the "being addicted" part depends on the person's age. When I was younger, I can say that I liked to play games. But now that I'm already an adult, I'm not very much into games anymore.
Trials is an highly addictive game! Have been playing the games for a few years now! Its just a little arcade game but you can spend hours playing it.
Games tend to focus on the survival instinct of the player. And that leads to the addiction. And it is kind of cycle in the head.
I think people are trying to change the way the feel inside by playing these video games, so escaping into a fantasy world makes them feel better.
I have noticed that games which are addictive have some sort of gameplay which makes playing lot fun than anything. it just makes it a bit difficult to get addicted to the harder games.
I think people use the games for escaping the addiction. So we have to treat things that way to handle the addiction.
Most of the people in the world are alone. And they have lonely lives so it's better to have some sort of addiction to get rid of the loneliness. That's what I have learned.
