That sounds odd. What age are you? That's the only reason I can assume they would have a problem with you playing PC games.
It's probably because of your age. I'm just going to assume that your a teenager. They just probably feel that you will get addicted to PC gaming whereas with console gaming and mobile gaming people just don't get addicted to it as much. When you think about PC gamers getting addicted, they're probably thinking of fat people sitting in a basement playing CS Go non stop so they're probably worried about that
I think it's because console isn't diverse compared to PC games. If you're tired of playing a certain game on PC you can choose another game and this means you can spend hours playing. If a console game doesn't interest you anymore unless you change it you won't spend all your time playing.
I don't see how that makes any sense really. they probably don't know that today, consoles and PC have almost same games. And if it's because of the violence and everything, that is almost unavoidable today.
If at home I think games are better played on consoles, you would have a better feel in my calculation. That TV look a wider field of view others could watch and learn from you easily. Your parents may think your computer shouldn't be for gaming or that sort of fun.
I really don't know the exact reason of your parents, but I think they are afraid that you might find something in the computer that they don't want to show you or they might be afraid that you mess up with the PCs files, they might have something really important there. If I were you, you ask your parents why.
When I was in High School I was also forbidden to play Pc games in our computer. That's because my was worried that I get addicted to it. And she said I'll have a bad eye sight if I play in computer. Maybe your parents is just worried to you.
It maybe some other reasons like privacy and if the computer is being used for other purposes like business and other transactions. I think there's nothing wrong with that just as long as you have your time of fun in other means.
