There have been a lot of video games that have been made into movies. From Mario Brothers, to Tomb Raider, to World of Warcraft this summer. And now there's even talk of Tetris becoming a movie as well. What has been the best movie adaptation of a video game that you've seen?
My pick would definitely have to be street fighter. I know many people harp on I honestly didn't even know it was considered a bad movie until later on when I looked it up online. Though to be fair I think many others also look back at it with at least some bit of adoration. I think even the flaws of it were great including van damme with an accent playing guile.
I feel like Warcraft had a pretty good movie and I'm not the only one saying that, I loved the CGI. The Prince of Persia movie also looked really good, but it was underrated as hell. I guess people watched it without being familiar with the franchise.
I still haven't seen Warcraft but I think from what I've heard that it is clearly the best adaptation yet out there. From the ones that I have seen so far, Assassin's Creed is okay, could have been a lot better but it's fine.
And those movies that emerge from video games are pretty nice stuff. Rarely will you find a messy boring thing.
I think silent hill turned out great. And in terms of the action. i think zombie movies like resident evil also turned out good. I guess many movies turned out to be pretty great in that case.
