    Which do you prefer ?
I find it far easier to drive and not make mistakes with the third person camera due to the expanded FOV, but I prefer the cockpit camera since I enjoy a challenge and it is far more immersive.

I love the cockpit camera because it's almost exact to actual driving. If the game involves parking, that's when I switch to the third person camera.

I think first person camera is lot better. As it gives you the real experience. I have tried both. And I'd say third person does not make you feel like you are driving. So the passion part comes in from first person view.

Yeah, as I said it's more immersive but they really need to give us more control of the FOV in this camera mode. Well, either that or just make multiple cockpit camera modes, as sometimes the camera is positioned too far back so you can't see anything.

Cockpit view for anything that has a remotely realistic/simmy driving model. I've been driving for long enough in real life that I can't drive properly in realistic games with a different camera, it feels odd.

I don't mind other cameras for more arcadey games, though, I can deal.

I prefer 3rd person, because you can see exits of corners earlier plus with cockpit camera I always seem to crash.

I agree with you, 3rd person provides more utility.

It takes some getting used to, but I recommend you try the cockpit camera. It's really immersive, and you won't be able to to go back to hood/3d person camera once you play through a few races in fp.

I guess I can give it a few more tries, with more practice hopefully I will get used to it.

The first person camera is the best experience you can get in my opinion. Not only is it more realistic, but its much more challenging than the third person camera, which we all already have been playing for years (or maybe that's just me)

I think if you want to purely focus on the gaming experience. Then first person camera makes sense. But if you want to focus on the players and other scenery. Then third person camera is more useful and valuable. That's what I have found out from experience.

Focusing on the ai/other players and scenery while driving makes you very likely to crash constantly. Just sayin :D

I prefer the cockpit camera more because it gives me the feeling of the actual driving of the car.

It is always a great experience driving using the cockpit camera but the only problem I have is the crashing. I can't seem to get the handle quite right. Maybe it is because I'm so used to the first person camera.

Most games it can be difficult to use third person camera
