Classical and Instrumental are the best to relax. But in general, I like listening to the radio for music. There's a good variety to hear!
I am the same way. I get into moods wherein I find classical music to be the most relaxing and sometimes I'd just turn on the radio since the atmosphere of it is a bit cozy.
I love listening to some chillstep. It's a sub genre of dubstep that really focuses on melody instead of bass. It's a great genre that a lot of people listen to. It's relaxing but also has the catchy feel to it. Other than that, maybe some slow, ballads. Those can really relax the mind and body. There's a really good song called Journey's End by Blackmill, if you guys want to search it up, but it's a great song. It is in the chillstep genre, but I consider it to be one of the highpoints in the whole genre. If you don't like it, well, that's a matter of opinion then, because that song is really relaxing to me. People might say it has a lot of bass undertones, but eh, that adds to the relax nature of the song for me.
Even Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody? xD Just joking of course. The song is on my phone, too. Obviously to some people that song might be relaxing, or maybe not relaxing but relieves stress to some people. To me, even though that song is like an epic to me (an amazing song), it wakes me up rather than makes me fall asleep. The Beatles though, I get. Their songs like Yesterday or I Will, instant relaxation like no other. Their style is just catchy but also somber, like some pop orientated ballad. It's awesome.
Just some instrumental or classic music when it comes to relaxing, maybe some deep rap songs if they're not too loud.
I like to listen to classical music when I want to relax. I also listen to a lot of nature sounds on Pandora if I want to relax. I am also listening to sleep stations on Pandora and that does the trick. I am asleep within 5 minutes.
I like to combine nature sounds with music sometimes. It makes me feel like I'm out camping with an MP3 player, and the best part is I don't actually have to.
I really enjoy listening to Beethoven and Chopin. 5th symphony / Beethoven, Chanson de l'adieu, 2nd sonata / Chopin.
If I want to just rest or have a peace of mind, then I won't listen to any song honestly. I'll listen to songs when I'm surfing through the internet or if I want to. I'll listen to songs from my favorite bands like Muse, A Lot Like Birds, Ling Tosite Sigure, Closure In Moscow, etc.
These days I've gotten way more comfortable with silence as well. Back in the day I couldn't go a few hours without listening to music but now I think I work way better when in complete quiet.
I relax to R & B and a few pop songs. I love Adelle, Rihanna, Beyonce and a few other artists. It really depends on the mood I am when I'm relaxing.
I like any cool Jazz music in the evenings for a relaxation. At noon I'm good with the Blues. These two genres of music are just good for my relaxation.
I have the local classical music station on here most of the time when I am working and its very relaxing, but also the local cool jazz station was great when I used to listen to it-but not so much anymore. Some other music that is very soothing to the soul and expands consciousness is New Age music -and this is very serene music- with sounds of waterfalls and flutes maybe sometimes and is good for meditating . A new age artist I like is Enya with her natural and uplifting kind of songs.
I like post-rock and ambient music in the background to help me relax. It is making me feel that I am in a forest or something like that and it is creating a whole new world in the existing one while you listen to it, it is truly amazing.
Of course I relax to any kind of mellow music, sometimes I listen to pop or RnB, but never hard or rock music.
I love listening to pop music when I want to relax. Love songs where the singer is praising his/her lover or crush are particularly enchanting and emotional and definitely worth my time. I also find breakup songs where the singer is lamenting over the loss of his/her lover breathtaking. The better the artist the more emotional the song is. Another genre that mellows me out is ballads. They are so beautifully written and composed that they make me so happy and fulfilled and feeling so contented. I'm also a big fan of Christian music and when I feel down and like my life is going awry, I listen to some gospel jamz and feel at peace. To put this in context, here's part of my playlist: 1. Adele: Hello, Someone Like you, Easy on Me, Rolling in the Deep, Make you Feel my Love, A million Years ago 2. Andra: Love can save it all 3. Andra Day: Rise Up 4. Celine Dion: Ashes, The Prayer 5. Billy Eilish: Lovely, Everything I wanted, When the Party's over 6. Sam Smith: Too good at goodbyes, Stay with Me, Latch 7. Whitney Houston: I will always Love You, I Have Nothing. 8. Lauren Daigle: Rescue, You say 9. Tauren Wells: Hills and Valleys, Known
