For those who have been following Need for Speed through the years, what did you guys think of the movie adaptation of this game? Haven't seen the movie myself, but I also know Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad fame, so I was curious at how he did with this video game turned movie project.
Many adaptations of video games are horrible. And this one wasn't any better. As an NFS fan I was expecting much and the movie failed to deliver. I found the movie to be quite boring.
It was ok I guess. The movie wasn't anything special but it wasn't horrible. The racing scenes were enjoyable to me. Movies based on games are just fan service if anything.
Well, I have to be honest, it was pretty bad. That might just be because in general I do not care much for racing movies, but I thought that since I was a fan of the game then maybe something would transfer and it would be a bit different. I was wring though, and it was what you would expect from a standard racing movie.
It was alright. I'm actually surprised they decided to make it since NFS doesn't have the deepest story. Then again, they are making a Tetris movie. So I guess anything can become a movie if you think hard enough.
Not really that interested in the storyline or cars to be honest so I haven't checked it out but I am planning to someday just for the heck of it but maybe just when I'm out of other options to watch.
I was actually surprised they made a movie about NFS but from the trailers it seemed pretty cool. I went to watch it and it was decent, but it definitely wasn't as good as people hyped it up to be.
It's.... an ok movie, I guess? If you watch it with your expectations in check there's some solid entertainment to be had with the movie, but in the end it is still a movie based on a videogame racing series.
Well this is one of those movies that I just need to avoid. If I cannot go into it with a serious attitude, then it is really lost on me and I would just prefer to not even see it at all. It is nothing like spoilers or anything like that, but they can ruin a game for me in a unique way, so I would like to avoid that at if all possible. I have heard some mixed reviews though, so I do question its legitimacy.
It was pretty bad for me but I didn't expect better. If you watched it expecting nothing then it's ok.
It was really an amazing movie. I really enjoyed it a lot. There must be some difference between a game and a movie so it is not like the way the players were expecting. If you watch only as a movie then it is the top movie of its time.
When they confirmed that a movie based on the game was in development, I confess that I was happy and worried at the same time (because I'm a big fan of the game ... and Hollywood writers look like they have not known how to work for a long time ). Well... I ended up being right, because the result of the movie - despite some good action scenes - was well below what I was expecting.
I thought the movie was pretty good. Aaron Paul did a great job with the role and the action sequences were pretty intense. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're a fan of the game or just enjoy action movies based on popular video games.
