Well I think you can get this game for pretty cheap (?) but is it compatible with the newest GPUs, CPUs and Windows 10? I was unable to play some older games simply because they were only compatible with Windows XP.
This game brings a lot of nostalgia! I think I'll give it a spin just to remember the old times, back when I was a little kid and first started to play games.
It's interesting to see EA reviving the game like this... but honestly, I have to wonder how well the game holds up in modern times. Since the games release date, the racing game genre has evolved and changed by quite a bit!
I tried playing this again a few years ago and I just couldn't get into it anymore but it is nice to have it around even just for making you appreciate modern games a bit more. Not sure if I bouzouki pay that much monthly for it though but maybe if the other content is good enough I'd say it's worth it.
I had Need For Speed II back in 2010 and I didn't like it. The handling was horrible. I wonder how much worse the original NFS game was? But as the subscription service gets you more games and other "perks", it's something I could try.
I feel like it's something that is worth trying, just to see how the series started and to see how its grown since then, but it's probably not something that's worth going out of your way to spend money for.
Just last night I actually did see the game on an abandonware site. If anyone wants to do some retro-gaming and isn't that interested in forking out $4.9 for the "privilege" they could just get the game off one of these sites. http://www.bestoldgames.net/eng/old-games/need-for-speed.php
