Polyphony Digital just admitted that two graphical features that were selling points in Gran Turismo games of the past will not be a part of Gran Turismo Sport. Are they important ones? That depends on your point of view. The missing bits are dynamic time and dynamic weather. In the Gran Turismo games that appeared […] Continue reading...
While it's not a big deal, it is disappointing after seeing Driveclub have those features. What worries me about this is that these might not be the only concessions they make about graphical quality.
I think I'm the most bummed out about the dynamic weather, it's a feature that a lot of new gen games have. I'm not too upset about dynamic time. Any reason why they're not in the game?
The game it seems is being rushed for Sony's VR and all the developers offer are some lame excuses. It's not that bad anyway because the developers say you can change the settings so you can race in the morning, dusk, etc. It won't be that bad if the quality of the image would be affected if the graphical features were included. But I don't believe them anyway.
That's pretty awful, I hope they don't sacrifice more features otherwise it wouldn't matter if they have VR support or not.
Let's hope so. And I'm sure that's the reason why they are promising that DLC for GT Sport will be arriving faster. Strange that they should be talking about DLC this early. http://www.ubergizmo.com/2016/06/gr...arrive-faster-than-it-did-for-gran-turismo-5/ Good news for those who'll buy the game.
I hate when games start to get rushed and they start cutting on features. It's way better for us players to wait some more time and get a quality game! With all the feature that are supposed.
Apparently they couldn't risk releasing the game any later than this year because GT 7 comes out next year. There are many who would opt to wait for GT 7 and the company would lose money. So rush it they had to.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit disappointed but in the bigger picture it's not a big deal seeing as they added the feature to change the time of day and weather. It would be nice to have it dynamic for longer endurance races but it's not meant to be and if it means on keeping a better frame rate then I can understand that. Hopefully it will make a return in future GT games.
Eh, they both sound a little gimmicky to me. Personally I'm more concerned with the overall graphics quality, and the gameplay of course.
Makes me wonder why they would suddenly take it out but I suppose I don't mind that much personally. I just hope they at least allocated those resources to something else instead of it just disappearing altogether.
I'd say probably to keep a better and consistent frame rate going. It would have been nice to see but oh well. At least the options to change the time and day and the weather are there.
I agree especially when the change is a downgrade instead of an upgrade. Hopefully they added something else to compensate.
